New fusion track called MACH5 from the upcoming album Coming Home

Mach 5

https://hearthis.at/frenq/mach5/

The rush doesn’t come from the engine — it comes from the band. The bass pushes the road forward with a fast, funky pulse, while the Fender Rhodes and Moog carve out sharp, sophisticated lines that slice through the air. The drums stay steady and unshakable, the anchor in all that motion. A single Fender guitar solo flashes by like a passing headlight, then disappears into the groove again.

Mach 5 is jazz‑rock momentum: intelligent keys, tight rhythm, and the elegance of controlled speed.

Tell me if you do like this song? frenq

  • Now that's jazz. I would never even attempt to do something like this. Absolutely brilliant.

  • That was an awesome ride . Damn.

  • So is this really a band that you’re in?

  • @Blipsford_Baubie. The band is sometimes completely real, sometimes I am with the cooperation of the guitarist or bassist, sometimes I am completely alone, and sometimes I have special guests with iPads and/or other MPE controllers. I am always the one who composes the music. I play some keyboards, saxophones, and AKAI EWI 4000s (Electronic wind instrument) and program the drums. The stories around the songs usually come from my imagination. Hope I have answered your question with this and thank you very much for listening and your comments, much appreciated, frenq

  • I like this a lot! Brings back great memories of the late 70s and early 80s. Return to Forever, Weather Report, Jeff Lorber, and so many others. Unfortunately disco came along and messed up everything. This feels like a different direction for you. Make more. Have a wonderful day.

  • Hello Paulie, nice that you had time to listen, I really appreciate it! I hope you also get to have a nice day, frenq <3

Thanks for the detailed response. Although i don’t always comment, i have listened to your other stuff on occasion. I always suspected a hybrid work-flow of sorts, but i had to finally ask after hearing this one. Gifted you are. Thanks for sharing.
