Patterning 3 + Link Audio

Just wanted to drop by to share that Patterning 3 now supports "Link Audio" which has been released in Ableton 12.4, allowing you to record multitrack/stereo audio wirelessly from Patterning to Ableton. It's kinda magic!

Anyway, putting Patterning on a little sale to celebrate.

Check it out and let me know how it goes.

  • Nice. Great news. Looking forward to trying it out.

  • Amazing! Really looking forward to trying this.

  • SWEEEET

  • This does nothing for me, however, just want to say (at every opportunity) that P3 is my favourite drum machine ever and I use it all the time for everything.

    +1
Don’t own a desktop but P3 is my goto when it comes to drums on iOS. Keep up the great work @benkamen CIRCLES RULE!!

  • Oh this is great news

  • Thanks for this, you generously provide Mac support already - so I can host it direct in Live, but being able to jam and send audio via iPad is a nice bonus.

  • Fantastic news 😎

  • @benkamen - when is the sale?
Not showing any price change for me.

What country? I might have missed a few (many countries are already less than the current US sale so I don’t change them.)

    Ok fixed!

  • Cool! Didn’t realize link audio could be implemented in non Ableton apps

Even better, it can be implemented in different DAWs on the desktop as well. So cheers at Ableton folks to releasing it as an open standard.

That’s great news. I hope it gets widely adopted like Link. That will open up all of the Ableton products to great sampling possibilities. Now I just need to figure out how to do hardwired network connections between devices. :)

If using a Mac and iPad or iPhone, a USB cable is all that is needed.

But only for one pair of devices, right?

With an Ethernet hub, multiple devices could work together.

  • It works great on my end! Now I'm just hoping Loopy Pro, Drambo, AUM and Koala Sampler get in on it.

  • Had a play tonight. The whole Link Audio thing is really cool. If you’re just sampling things in Live latency is not an issue. Being wireless really reduces friction in workflow
