Pulse - New ambient track mastered with Afterglow

Was already planning on making a track today and figured it was a good opportunity to try out Afterglow.

The first sound you hear is a sample I recorded from my wife’s ultrasound yesterday. I joked about sampling the baby’s heart beat and the radiologist said go for it. It’s pretty heavily processed. Then I added some Mononoke and Solderbox over it.

    Thank you very much. I’m really enjoying making ambient in a way I didn’t think I would. And being able to take something so personal and transform it in a musical way feels really special.

    I’m a convert to the music… lovely story and it’s wonderful producing something so personal…
    I’m a sceptic when it comes to Afterglow and mastering in general, I’m still not sure what this does that you can’t do by twiddling a few volume knobs / sliders and effects…
    Just call me a Luddite 📠🔨😊

    And yeah I’m sure folks with more experience mastering could do fine without it. For me, it does a way better job than I can manage to do with TB Equalizer and Barricade.

    This is beautiful! I’ve listened to this a couple of times now, and I’m glad Afterglow could help add the finishing touches to this wonderful piece. Great work!
