Buses Causing Time Stretching Issues
I have a complex loopy pro project with about 70 audio loops. When I change tempo, audio gets crunchy. The audio often fails to recover and I just have to restart loop pro to get back to clean audio. After much troubleshooting, I’ve learned that the problem is the audio buses. If I remove all of the audio buses, the problem pretty much resolves. I can change tempo and even though the audio might get warbly, it recovers once the loops are processed.
I’m wondering if this is an inherent limitation with buses or perhaps there are some tricks to avoid this behavior? Unfortunately I don’t see a good way to not use audio buses to do the type of actions (Sidechain) I want to do.

Sorry to jump immediately overlooking your question which I don't have any answers on, but I'm really interested how you are configuring something to be sidechain like with the buses when there isn't actual side chain (yet) ? This is the one feature I want most to arrive to Loopy Pro (followed by actual midi automation editing eventually)
This is not a known problem. In order to advise you, I need more info.
What is on those buses?
What buffer size are you using?
What hardware are you running on?
Have you tried using the fast time-stretching option?
Can you post still screenshots of your fully expanded mixer?
Sure thing.
I’ve shared the original project mixer screenshot, which has multiple buses and multiple effects. I’ve also shared a screenshot of the project mixer with all effects removed. In the “all removed” version, there’s nothing on the bus, and I still have the same issue. As soon as I remove the bus, audio issues resolve.
Screenshot of buffer size attached.
iPad Pro 4th gen, M2 chip.
I have not tried fast time stretching.

Yeah there are some apps like Woodpressor that you can use as a workaround. There are some good tutorials on YouTube for Woodpressor Sidechain
Can you upload a zipped version of the buses with no fx version of the project somewhere and send a link to support at loopypro.com with instructions for reproducing the problem?
Ok, I've emailed support and included a link to the project. Thanks for looking into this and I look forward to your response.
I can imagine that with so many loops, time-stretching audio can become a challenge if you want quick response.
He says that the presence of a do-nothing bus triggers the behavior. Such a bus should not have a big impact.
True.
To be clear, the problem arises when audio is sent through a single bus. It is not a “do nothing” bus, as audio is routed through the bus, but there are no effects or other processing on the bus.
