Heck ya! Thanks for the preset flo, sounds great 🤙
Now you got me wondering what other pedals can be finagled out of MH… with its focus on pick recognition, maybe the MutronIII? I know there’s an emulation in Tonestack but it ain’t the best
The Lutron must be doable.
Thanks.

Very nice!
Thanks.

Great licks! As soon as Melthaven came out, my first thought was "univibe pedal". It's a univibe.
Agree.
Thanks.

Much to learn I still have...
Very interesting.
Haha. To be fair, it has way more controls and variables than any univibe pedal I've seen.
I'm thinking if a more pure version could be created, without the note detection stuff. The video also points to that direction.
Will have to set some time aside to do a deep-dive.
Funny how as I skimmed a technical breakdown, I got partially reminded of a wild digital phaser project I had in mind to serve as a counterpart to RealPhase's analog purism. But... to have 3 phaser apps... "too soon" is what they say, right?
More the merrier, I say! 😉
I was on the fence about Melthaven at first due to RealPhase being so encompassing. But after using it I knew I had to have both. If you say you have something in mind that would make me say “of course I need these THREE phaser apps”, then bring it on man!!
Probably should finish adding some more models to RealPhase first.
In the spirit of this thread, a univibe model would be dope 🤘
Thanks, interesting idea. Could be perfectly sensible, especially if it doesn't require those deep and lengthy modeling iterations (i.e. current results can be built upon).
).
But along the lines of the "purism" mentioned earlier, or more importantly, from the point of authenticity it may turn out to be an even bigger task than what's in the request pipeline (the orange one and the "bad" one
Then again, the idea was already floated to add even "digital" flavors... an idea that was resisted, and may be worth resisting, especially if that third app manifests, which is a definite possibility (also to keep some semblance of order of the UI). But it's something that re-surfaces from time to time, so nothing's off the table.
But really interesting to hear these opinions about Melthaven's similarity, so some major surprises can happen.
Perhaps Melthaven's Univibe quality comes from the "stereo reimager", which is 2x Mid-Side Continuum instances integrated onboard. More about that later. Maybe that could be added to RealPhase as an add-on for all phasers, which was kind of explored on a surface level already, but wasn't an obvious addition. We'll see. There may be a lot of moving parts here in the equation.
