Good morning. This is the first thing I listened to this morning. I like this a lot. Especially the melody. It’s almost repetitive, but every iteration seems to change slightly. I found myself rewinding a few times to check. Towards the end, you switched into a bluesy feel. The bass clarinet was the perfect choice for the melody. The mallets for the background work very well with this. It sounds like it’s in a steady 4/4, but I couldn’t tap my foot to it. When I thought I had the beat, the melody caused me to restart the count. I love that effect!
Whenever I think of prime numbers, I think of my niece, Olivia. She’s a teenager now. Be afraid, be very afraid. When she was about 7, we discussed primes. I described the concept and asked her to tell me a few…
1… 3… 5… 7… 11…
That’s very good, sweetheart!
Wait, there’s a bunch more!
The primes introduce an unpredictability without descending into randomness.
Brilliant!
You’re like the Alan Turing of iOS!🙂
A through and through delight.
Sweet!
Loved it Tony! That dynamic rhythm and instrumentation is perfect for your clarinet solo.
Definitely a beautiful piece of music!
Reminds me a little of "This Binary Universe" without all the glitches throughout. Nice orchestral piece of music.
Thanks everybody ( @Paulieworld , @rottencat , @lasselu , @azul3D_Apps , @MrStochastic and @jwmmakerofmusic ) 🙏
Good grasp of numbers there Paul… I remember years ago one of the users of a licensing system we had developed that auto generated the next licence number saying she was worried that we were going to run out of numbers… I tried to keep a straight face 🤔
The nearest I get to Turing @rottencat is going down Alan Turing Way which is in Manchester.
It is a great sound @MrStochastic … there is a Contrabass and even a Subcontrabass but unfortunately SWAM don’t do them ☹️
I’ll check that out Jim 👍
I sampled a subcontrabass saxophone once. Just individual notes; very rudimentary; and thought someday I could make a shareable instrument if I can ever get around to it.
Might come in useful on international drone day later this month @MrStochastic 😊
