Loopy Pro Presets?

Hi, I am fairly new to LP. Mostly learning and exploring at this point. Right now I am using a mashup of Stan Guitar templates.
The one shown is what I am experimenting with now. It is designed to enter a few parameters each time you play a different song.

Tap Tempo
Select Drum Rhythm
Select Drum Fills
Select snare or cross stick

That is enough for my question. Could these drum parameters be saved in a list on another page that could quickly load?
I see there is a “set list” technique but it appears it loads a whole new project. It seems like a bit much. Perhaps this is the best way? I am not trying to reinvent the wheel. Thanks for your help.

  • I am not quite sure what you are asking. Could you clarify?

  • I'm don't think I understand. Are you just trying to de-clutter the main page by not needing to have all those buttons there? Or are you saying you'd like to populate the patterns triggered by the buttons from some plugin preset, drum pattern files, or?

Simpler yet. I would like to add another page that has a list of songs on it. When a song is selected it would set the tempo, select one of the rhythm radio buttons and perhaps one or two other parameters that were needed for that song.
I realize this page is very cluttered but I am trying to figure out what I really need for a master template to handle most of my playing.

For instance, as I figure out what songs some of these drum patterns might be good for and what tempo works I COULD just write it down on a piece of paper and set up the song to play it when I want OR I could just select page C , select a song which loads the important parameters and jam out.

  • @Bellows : I am still not 100% sure what you are asking, but there is an action "Trigger Widget" that you can used in widgets to trigger other widgets.

If you have combinations of buttons you want to press to change songs, you could do a few different things:

    1. Set up a stepped dial where each step has the set of actions you need to set things up the way you want for a certain song. Those actions could include 'Trigger Widget' actions to press the buttons you want to press

    2. you could set up individual buttons with all the actions for a particular song.

These techniques sound like the right track to me. Thanks

  • @Bellows I do this, I have a page of buttons that sets tempo and chooses presets, all manner of things for each song. there could be 8 or 10 things for each song. Each button is named with the song name, or a shorthned version of it.
I also have a biggish button on my main page which calls up the song preset page, bigger than the little page buttons at the right which are kinda small. And on the song preset page I also have a big button to take me back to the main page. I find changing pages using this method much quicker than relying on the standard page navigation.

    Thanks, this is very encouraging.
