My preference, you'll see a comparison with some other widening apps here too

Here's a free one I like: https://apps.apple.com/app/wider-by-infected-mushroom/id1338262710
Or, the old school way: any delay app with short delay time and feedback turned down to only one echo. Pan the dry signal left, the wet signal right. Delay time determines the strength of the doubling, pan controls the stereo separation.
The nice thing about rolling your own is you can do other things to differentiate the parts, such as putting a filter on one or some added distortion, etc.
If the signal you're trying to widen is stereo (such as if it has reverb or any other stereo FX) then something like what I linked is better.
True Pan is another amazing one. It does some crazy good things with stereo input sources.
@wim but then I have to work (:
Witch sounds romantic as a musician.
Im allready juggeling 8 effect apps and two amps on the input channel, I have to make some basic sense of them before I put bleass delay on a bus to pan it..but shit, I want to now! Could put a filter on the delay.. what would that sound like, lo-fi echo?
With just one fast slap back though, what would you put on that?
I’ll check out True Pan and Echo Tube!
The way forward is forward
I'd also personally strongly avoid anything with the Haas effect.
And/or highly recommend checking the mono mix especially if you're rolling your own setup - it's still a safe bet, unless you're looking for a very specific strong effect and know extremely well what you're doing.
Spatializer by quantovox is the only real awnser.
Thank you butterfrog!
I want my guitar to sound big for a simple riff (:
I second @wim that Wider by Infected Mushroom is great. It’s very straightforward at what it does. I wish they’d bring over their desktop plugins to iOS.
Eventide Micropitch
Lets try Wider!
Thanx @wim @FizzyLizzy27
+1 for
"Spatializer by quantovox is the only real awnser."
+1
it's a good mojo effect, if you want to dial in some of that nostalgic, lush, rich bigness that "sounds like a proper record"
Far from it,,,,,,
Spatializer is great on drums btw as well as guitar.
Shameless plug(in) alert...
FakeTake (free) pretty much does what @wim describes as "the old school way" (best used on mono signals) and adds some modulation to the delay time.

FakeTake2 ($1.99) is essentially the same effect with a bit more tweakability.

Sorry about the HUGE images...
I love the FakeTake apps. Get a lot use from 2.
I thought there was an @Rob_Jackson_Music plugin that did that, but couldn't remember which. Those are probably the only two Rob plugins I don't have, since I'm usually not a fan of doubling guitar myself. I remembered that ANALOGyAMP had it, but since there's no bypass for the AMP (gotta shout that part right?) part, I didn't mention it.
I'm glad you cleared that up Rob. Those pesky little floaty questions just keep bouncing around in the back of my head until they finally get put to rest.
Is Virtual Room Pro still on the App Store? That one is solid. Looks like it’s gone again…
