I saw this last year and thought about it over winter before finally signing up early spring. It’s a teaching platform that uses a four track guitar loop pedal that’s pretty robust from my experience so far. The really nice bit is that while the platform regularly drops lessons that have various tracks you can drop in or out, everyone else with a pedal can also drop stuff on the site. This means you can play along with regular guitarists and other musicians of all levels, and/or share your noodling with them and see what they play with your stuff. Built in drum machine with a few simple patterns has meant I’m playing better in time… anyway just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying it after a few months and where my referral link as they’re about to drop a new batch, gets you 10% off and a voucher for me… they send you a pedal as part of the year’s subscription that you can keep after. I guess they do it as a loss leader in the hope you’ll love jamming with others so much you resubscribe again…

I realised that link didn’t explain much, this one has the full details…

Interesting. I’m gearing up to take combo guitar and keyboard lessons locally. I think he said 25USD per half hour once a week. 52 lessons for 400USD is less than eight bucks a lesson so that’s a hell of a bargain! The pedal isn’t an interface so you’d plug the outs into your interface? How has interacting with other people worked for you?
It’s been nice, people playing along to your stuff is a bit of an ego boost, and playing along to those better than me has improved my playing some I think. Always try to play with people better than you is good advice all round I’ve learnt, mostly from my jam group but more and more (and every day) from this pedal…
I tend to just have the looper plugged into my amp at home, occasionally take it to jams as well so I can either loop something in line or just bring something I’ve been messing about with at home to the party. In terms of getting stuff out, I do it through the app; you can download a song from the pedal as a zip file with the loops in it and just open them wherever you want…
I think my last question for now is do you get to actually interact with these people in the box? Is there any immediate feedback? Are you building relationships with other guitarist through this program? (The last question is the primary question.)
Not yet, but that might just be me, I do see a lot of people interacting more than I am and I think as I gain confidence and maybe direction within the community I will do that more… the band thing seems to be growing, I haven’t really looked into that yet but I’m starting to wonder if there might be one (or more😅) for me there…
Aight then, thank you for the info. Like I said, lesson wise, it’s a hell of a bargain! I’ve just recently gotten to the point where I have a little confidence in my playing. To the point I’m looking at amplification options for jamming. Up until now it’s been a practice amp and through my DAW, which is fine, but I’m jonesing for interacting with some real life people! Thank you again!
Not at all, I hope you enjoy it and that I see you in there at some point 🤟
