  • Thanks @filo01, no wonder I'm constantly confused by the UI (as this behavior seems entirely non-intuitive/confusing to me)!

It’s okay, I’m learning as I go too. E.g. week ago (after months of using PD) I found how you can divide one measure into more or less than four beats ... by swiping up or down :)

Fortunately, the learning curve for Lumbeat apps isn’t very steep.

  • Thanks for the reports! 🙏 The likely cause has been found: it's in how Pop Drummer reads timing from Loopy at small buffer sizes, which can cause the occasional doubled or dropped note (and is why other hosts like AUM aren't affected).

It's now reproducible on this end, and a fix is in progress, giving Pop Drummer its own steady internal clock instead of relying on the host frame-by-frame. An update will be posted as soon as it's on the way!

That's great to hear, much appreciated! I have started using Pop Drummer a lot in my Loopy projects and having a better understanding of all the features will help me integrate it even further, Thanks again!

  • I posted this on the lumbeat discord. Reposting here in case anyone needs a temporary fix:

Figured out a workaround if anyone is in the same boat as me: send all the grooves you need to soft drummer from pop drummer. Load both pop/soft drummer in loopy, bring down the gain of soft drummer and drive pop drummer (in sound module mode) from soft drummer. Not pretty, but it works!

  • A beta version fixing it is ready for TestFlight, anyone interested in it ? Send me DM with your email
