Dogmerica / AI music video promo

This clip and the original song, based on my novel, Dogmerica, was generated in AI with my collaborator Algis Kemezys..

I could never have created such a thing. The song and arrangement is far better than I could have done, hook and all. The cartoonified characters are almost perfect

. It was made with Vidmuse. It felt like the software was a true partner.

This is the world we now live in. I read there are now more uploads. of music enhanced by AI than traditional music.

I have no problem with this, Like IOS and this forum it has given me something that would be impossible without it. I do believe my concept and characters and input were necessary. It’s not just pushing a button. It is still what you put in you get out,

Regrettably, at this time the software limitations (lip syncing and reliability) make it too costly to make the whole movie. But, in a year, who knows!?

Love it! I showed it to Karen. She was head banging and grinning from ear to ear. She’s going to send the link to Olivia. Great entertainment for all ages. Ironically, we just got back from seeing Sheep Detectives. Have a great weekend!

  • Lena and I both enjoyed this video. I think it's great that you have found a way to tell your story 😁

Your collaborator is also quite talented

Having spent much time making videos, I understand the amount of time and effort that goes into them

    This is excellent work

I do hope that the entire film gets made. I'll continue to reach out to others that know far more about AI than I do to see if they have ideas about how to get that done.

More than anything, I am glad we have been able to reconnect. You made a huge difference in my life. Your encouraging words came at a time when I needed them.

Lena and I are taking Ares to the dog park so I better hush up 😁

    I'll be in touch

    Mac

  • We had fun too

  • Liked and subscribed to Algis's YouTube channel

If you don't mind, I could post it on my X channel with a request for anyone to help find the best, most cost effective lip sync solution

    I would recommend checking out

    Good people there too

One of my videos is playing on Apple TV and Roku on the Alchemy channel this weekend

I would also check out https://x.com/fairground_tv

I'll help as much as I can

  • That's so cool! I'd watch it - the book looks good too.
You could get some celebrities to do voice-overs, maybe Brad Pittbull and Angelina Puppy (really sorry, I do apologise).

    Hello again @pbelgium

Happy to see your name again

    Always loved your guitar playing

Hope all is well with you

  • I might be barking up the wrong tree but I think you’re being overly dogmatic @pbelgium 🐕
Nice work Mike and Algis 👍
Where can we read the novel Mike ?

  • @GeoTony, you can purchase it on Amazon. I must warn you most people don’t finish it. @McD is one of the few who gave it a good review! Of course, I like it.
Thanks for watching @pbelgium. Always good to hear from you!

Even better if you can get Pitbull to do a remix.

  • @LinearLineman , I really enjoyed the video and the song, as well as knowing there's a book about the story! I downloaded VidMuse after watching it, but I probably won't be using it anytime soon since you have to pay for credits and I'm kind of on a short budget right now, but it reignites my excitement to create something with AI animations in the near future, even by stitching together short clips generated in free services or in apps you only pay once, like Photoleap.

Also, I saw you mentioned in another thread that you're about to release your 99th album and intend to make movies after that. I found that comment really exciting, since I really like the prolific/multimedia aspects of art making - something I try to incorporate in my own art as best as I possibly can. Where can I listen to/read/watch your stuff?

  • Thank you for your interest @Rodrigo1709. You can hear my music on Bandcamp

My movie dreams, unfortunately, have been delayed for st least a year, I imagine. We had good luck in the beginning, but the obstacles of cost and a technology in its infancy do not make it feasible, IMO, for the average person to make a full length movie. Lip syncing, along with natural facial expression is a real problem. Also, with Vidmuse, at least, the scenes are not stable. Make one correction and other elements change arbitrarily…. Like a Twilight zone script, actually… the continually shifting sands of reality!

My hope is, with the exponential growth (have we broken Moorr’s Law yet?) things will, necessarily, improve quickly. We shall see.

I wish you well in your endeavors. This stuff is supposed to satisfy our creative needs. Those can be shifting sands, too. Lol, the last year most of my creativity has been put into writing nightly love letters to my gf. Over 300so far! As you can see, I clearly count on quantity over quality to get me through the creative journey!

Listen to the messages your heart sends. My late teacher, Connie Crothers, always talked about feeling. She didn’t mean feelings… she was talking about sensing and harnessing the creative energy we are all imbued with. Locating and utilizing that feeling is the key to creative happiness. I’ve experienced some of that and it seems more is possible. Maybe I will make a full length movie one day. Maybe you will!
