Built for songwriters, producers, live performers, and playful souls ChordPond turns chord progressions into something you can see, touch, and rearrange in seconds.
ChordPond is intentionally focused - no built-in synth, no clutter.

Pentatone is new and free
App Store Description
The Arithmophone Pentatone is a music app featuring an easy to play pentatonic keyboard and a built-in synthesizer. Instead of using piano keys or a grid-based interface, Pentatone takes a fresh approach, optimised for the ergonomics of touchscreen devices and inspired by instruments like the kora and mbira. The app also has a sophisticated scale selection system that includes all the common pentatonic scale types and unlocks some more unusual ones.
Pentatone features:
Pentatone is part of the Arithmophone project
An Arithmophone is a thing that turns numbers into sounds, or math into music. Its name is derived from the ancient Greek words arithmos (number) and phone (sound). Any iPhone or iPad is itself an Arithmophone, because it routinely turns lists of binary numbers into sounds, for example when you use it to listen to music. But this app is a bit more 'arithmophonic' still, because it takes pure and simple harmonic ratios like 3:2 and 5:4 and uses these to build musical scales. You can use it as an easy-to-play instrument, a source of melodic and harmonic inspiration or a tool for learning about music and exploring the deep connection it has with numbers.
Keep an eye out, future plans for the Arithmophone on iOS include:

SAGA Synth is a $1 off at $3.99
Nice find pops, pity it's got no midi out currently. From the description it sounds like that will come later, as a paid version I'm guessing
Hmmmmm hard to tell if it’s the same dev or not. This new WaveStorm is by Volodymyr Murzik whereas the old WaveStorm is by Sonic Sector.
At 12.99 a month they can dream on though
It’s in English, don’t see any IAP’s.
A fairly simple ear trainer with focus on learning Arabic (ie, not Turkish) maqams.
Yisses Amelia!! I wish there was a way to stop insanities like this, new users might fall for it and be robbed.
Reminds me of the graphic apps jungle where there a millions of overpriced shite to try to grab money from the unknowing.
Least one can do is give it a star and a review, I guess.
No-one in their right mind gonna sub to an app with a ui like this for $13/month, that's wildly optimistic on the dev's part haha
No, the older developer had a British name. This app also doesn’t look anything like the old one, more like a vibe-coded thingy. Too bad, the old WaveStorm had great potential (but was very buggy).

Well, if your new and know nothing about how things works or where to look. I got started on the Jimmy Fallon video (thus Loopy Pro HD). The next couple of apps I invested in I wont even tell you. Not until I found this forum through Ed Spiegel was I starting to see I was on the wrong path (Thanks Ed!)
There's probably a lot of morons like me with a new iPad whatnot, eager to get going without a clue.
True, don’t worry, we’ve all made and continue to make unwise decisions 😂
Yea, it just made me think of the older wavestorm app.
