Recording front camera while looping

edited May 28 in Loopy Pro

How can I record video from the iPad's front camera using Loopy Pro's audio output? I tried an app called Studio Camera, but it only records the UMC404HD audio input channels.

In the next Loopy Pro update, session recording includes the ability to record video through the camera. You will still need to use a video editor to combine the audio and video. (iMovie works fine for this)

This is exciting. Looking forward to that.

That sounds good, but why the video editor step? Is it not possible just to create an MP4 with camera video and LP audio? If I need to realign video/audio, isn't that functionally the same as just recording the camera now while recording session audio in LP and lining them up later?

Video capture is CPU. Doing it this way reduced the processor burden. Lining them up is trivial since they will start at the same point in time.

OK great and understood. Maybe, as an idea, you could do the syncing process programmatically after session completes, while saving the video file? I certainly wouldn't mind a 'video processing' spinner for that. Cheers
