Using the new “record in” feature in Outgrowth

A recent update to the mighty Outgrowth included the ability to record directly into the app. I made use of that here along with the new granular processor Celestine using one of @Gavinski’s presets.

(On a side note, I recently joined Gavinsky’s Patreon. So totally worth it. I encourage you to check it out.)

Anyhow, I look forward, as always, to your feedback.🙂

  • Your music never disappoints! This is no exception! Gorgeous soundscapes and feeling of floating. Was this inspired by BoC? :)

  • Aw, thanks so much for the shoutout Yvonne, and for your support. And really sweet to know that one of my presets is part of this lovely, tranquil track!

EDIT: duh I'm an idiat. It's on the video.

Ignore the former comment: "Hang on, don't give people's IRL names out Gav, that might not be hip"

Yes, many ppl here call her by that name too, but I get your point, in general

  • This is great news! Funny, cause as i was watching Gav’s Celestine walk through yesterday, i thought to myself, If only Outgrowth had “record in”, i wouldn’t be lusting for Celestine. I’m glad i didn’t buy it! I feel Outgrowth had just the right amount of complexity for me and seems more musical as opposed to sound designy.

To answer your question seriously, I don’t know how anyone can make this kind of music and not be inspired by those Scottish brothers.

Right?! Boards of Canada are amazing! :) (Well, so are Blue Oyster Cult, but they're a different genre obviously, lol.) Did you get the chance to listen to their new album? :)
