  • I didn’t realise Fingerlab use AudioKit now.

  • They always did, I think

  • Jeez, how many amazing new synths are we getting this week?

    • double post
  • This one is very fun to mess with

  • I suspect this will struggle, being released at the same time as Pro-A5 and with established, quality Junos already released. Will check out the bouncy physics stuff though, could be a winner.
Now if they'd only released Shynth...

  • I bought it, I like it.

They’ve been making apps before AudioKit was a thing

Good point. So let me rephrase it as ‘they’ve been using Audiokit for years’

It looks like it has struggled indeed, as I also suspected it would. Too many Junos recently. A day and a half after launch and still not in the top 25 US AppStore iPad paid apps list. Changing times...

Devs really need to keep their ear close to the ground and really carefully judge whether there's enough interest in the things they want to release out.

I was more tempted by this over the Pro-A5 due to it being Mac compatible, despite already having Pigments and Serum on desktop, as the bouncing balls looked like a bit of fun. Still a potential candidate, if I drink enough wine tonight.

Well, it is not a paid app (in the charts). But currently #73 only in Germany...

Oh yeah haha, totally forgot it's a free download lmao, thanks

Trying the demo got me wondering, can the physics of Musyc2 be used to control the automation of AU parameters (of other apps) in this way? I don’t think it can, the MIDI output seems to be notes only? @Pxlhg, you seem to be very proficient with Musyc2; can it ? @relpot?

To me, Jynth would be far, far more tempting if it were just a MIDI effect app where the physics could be applied to the exposed parameters of any Audio Unit. Or, even if this ability were built in as additional functionality for the existing synth app I’d want it.

It seems like it’s offering something that Musyc2 could potentially do but doesn’t, filling a gap in its own market, but then restricting that functionality - it’s unique feature - to only the built in synth which seems a shame. Could be far more useful than it is.

@relpot, are there any plans to maybe add this sort of MIDI out functionality? Plans to add this kind of physics external output to Musyc2? Plans to release a Jynth without the synth MIDI effects app?

Edit: any plans to add this modulation system to your other synths? I’ve always been tempted by Polywave.

There's no CC output, only notes (for now or forever, I do not know).

Yes it's currently on the way, I've made a new MIDI app with Physics used to modulate CC parameters and also sending notes, it's coming soon, I will make a post in the forum and launch beta-testing for it in a week or two!

That’s great to hear, thanks @relpot. I’ll look out for the beta testing. Cheers.
