Audio Interface, 6 out (2 is headphones)

Hi! I have been googling a bit, but figured I would try and ask you clever musicians about this!

I’m playing in a band where I need to send 6 outputs from my iPad (using loopy pro). 2 stereo outs to foh, (one is live keys + fx) another is track (looped parts), plus I need to send a headphone click track to our drummer.

Do any of you know of a audio interface that can do this on iOS? (I am using a ur22c for my normal rig, and really like the interface, but not sure if the bigger brother can do this for us...)

Would be nice if it’s not a giant, but not essential.

Love from Dk

  • Many of the more advanced audio-interfaces lack software for iOS to do the routing and other control of the interface.
The Scarlet 18i20 4th Gen could be an option but needs a computer for configuration.

Then have mixers like the Allen & Heath CQ Series that are class compliant and fully configurable using the UI.

    All depends on the budget.

  • Thanks Sami, the motu looks good.

I was hoping to get something that exposes all outputs to loopy pro, so I could just route from there. Would that not be possible on the scarlet do you know?

Not sure the Allen&Heath are exactly what we need.. a bit big, and more of a mixer, but perhaps could be configured…

  • Actually.. loopy pro doesn’t seem to have multi output option.. or maybe I’m blind… Aum has it, so just figured loopy also did… hmm

Sure it does. Just not the Master. You can set any channel or bus to go to whatever output the OS sees.

AFAIK it doesn't support AUv3 multi-out but it does support selecting the interface output

  • Aaaaah sweeet! Thank you so much!
