    New Release

Drone Meditations is new and currently $9.99, Deep 4 oscillator drone synth with cymatics visualization, no connectivity mentioned but tons of features, presets, granular sampling, recording, sharing, etc…

This looks interesting. Just for other interested, there is a web-version to try here: https://dronemeditations.com/

I am not a fan of the specific, um lets say vibe I get from the interface, but that beside the project seem personal and well thought out, and the artist hommage presets are amusingly well named, even if some of the choices are a bit werid. (Just missing one for my personal fave Eleh: https://eleh.bandcamp.com/ )

    Ah, gotcha. @Gavinski
So the consensus seems to be that £6.99 is the cheapest RU will be from now on? Or is it one of those apps that might drop down to £2.99 every now and then? Any thoughts oh App Guru @Poppadocrock ;)

It could go on sale for less, but sales on this app have been rare over the years. Since it’s release in 2020, it has had only 4 sales, not including the current bump up to $9.99 and sale back down to $6.99.

If you’re willing to wait until November/December, there’s always a chance the app will go on sale around Black Friday through the New Year, but there’s no guarantee and no way of knowing for sure. I think if you really want it, $6.99 is definitely fair price for all the audio possibilities. Waiting 6 months, or longer to save a few bucks, might not be worth the wait, if this is something you want. Check out some vids to make sure you like what you see/hear.

Ultimately, I think if you have the dough, like messing with audio, and are interested in Radio Unit, it’s worth $7.

    Cool, thanks Pop

It’s decent, has had several updates, and spits out unlimited midi tracks to use in anything you want. Its no Piano Motifs, but it’s decent. Also depends on what kind of music you make/like, since it has 4 main styles. They have added multiple sub genres recently so getting better.

Also does drum midi parts which piano motifs does not.

Update - it does have some room for improvement, not perfect, but $2.99 for unlimited audio and midi generations seems like a decent deal, if your into that sort of thing. It generates whole songs, can evolve over time, or play endlessly. Im mostly interested in the midi, so for unlimited multitrack midi generations right on my device, for up to 7 different tracks, lead, rhythm, pad, drums, etc.. i think its worth a few bucks, but others might disagree. No AUv3, but i got it to generate lots of midi tracks that i can use parts of or all of in my own tracks.

  • Photo/Graphic

Cinemin by Tinrocket is free usually $4.99, does have IAP monthly, yearly, and lifetime option's for unlimited usage.

  • With apologies for the lame question, someone in this thread mentioned an effects preset they nearly always use on drums.
Sad to say I forgot which device and preset it was, so if anyone remembers, would be most grateful.

I am pretty sure it was a FAC app or KNOCK, but no comments I could find back to page 89. That rhymed.

Went looking for you and can't find the comment either, so I think it is in a "dedicated thread."

Might be, yes. Thanks for looking.
Don’t believe it was KNOCK, because I don’t have that.

    Will try harder.

  • Right, it was @timfromtheborder recommending the Drum Me High preset at 10% wet in GRFX.

That took a lot of backwards reading.

Haha, glad you found it. Yes, I use it a lot, particularly on breakbeats, drum n bass, glitchy type stuff. It adds a bit of motion without getting distracting. It’s cool to automate the mix knob for transitions too.
