Are there any touch scale auv3s similar to Korg NanoKEY Studio?

Looking for auv3 midi controller with touch scale capabilities that supports multi touch .. set scale and route to instrument plugin .. pretty much the plugin equivalent to touch scale on Korg NanoKEY ..

Anything like that? Or can I set up an xy pad to do it?

    Do you have Mozaic?

@wim has some of the best Mozaic scripts on patchstorage, several scaler apps.

Not hundred percent sure what you mean by 'touch scale'. For a non mpe touchscreen keyboard, while not quite perfect, my fave is Xequence AU Keys:

Do you mean the function on the XY pad that sends notes as you move your finger around the pad?

Piece of cake for Mozaic ... except for the multi-touch part. That won't work on Mozaic's XY pad. Come to think of it, that's a problem with every XY pad app I have.

TC-Data would be good except it's not AUv3.

Ahh! I was wrong. KB-1's XY pad can do it.

[edit] nope. I was seeing multiple notes in ShowMIDI, but they were actually just ended notes that hadn't cleared from the display yet. Only one note can be sent at a time from KB-1 pads.

    Woah, gotta try that, thanks(:

    Sorry ... see edit above.

  • @wim that's a pity. I wish @brambos Fluss's XY-pads would send out Cc's, that would be a very nice pad with 3 cursors and physics on top. I kind of got my hopes up, when he added CCS to Skulptur.

  • this guy is all over my social media at the moment playing the Korg IMS20 - maybee those kaos pads can transmit MIDI?

    I do have mozaic .. I’ll give it a look .

Just love the way I can play the NanoKEY studios scale pad .. and can easily switch octaves on it ..

That’s exactly what I mean, I’ll give mozaic a look and see what’s there. Thanks for checking on the other apps, as well

Thanks, I have both of those (xeq pads/keys) .. I’ll dust em off. “touch scale” is what it’s called on NanoKEY .. the pad is just super responsive, like you can roll your finger just a little and be on a new note .. fun for jamming

  • Oh, there's some great x/y pad note generators- some that use logic too. For example. Drag your finger left to right, it emulates a traditional 2d piano "field" draw a circle and it uses circle of fifths, you can even tweak out the scales and change them to chords w/ variations.

I made a simple one called Kordrag

  • Having a monophonic version of this is fairly easy to build in Drambo. It's no problem to mix 2 or more of those and feed it to whatever Auv3 to reach ployphony, but you can not have it all on the same xy-pad.

Oh cool .. thanks! Gonna have to experiment and see what fits

Try this if you like, vertical movements trigger notes, horizontal determines pitch, so diagonal makes most sense(:

Edit: removed file, get the one in the next post, if you’re interested.

I changed it a bit. So far the first note was triggered only when you dragged your finger vertically on the pads, now it triggers on touch and when you drag. Bit more useful like that (:

I’m open to suggestions, if somebody wants features added.
