What host? And yes, vst3 will also be released at launch.
thanks Charles! demos sound great!
any rel date/price?!
Ableton Live Stable and Beta.
I think it’s in a pretty decent place now, gonna let it cook for a bit while make sure there aren’t any issues. As for Price, people seem to think that Tapescam was a good at five bucks.
I think this sounds like five bucks of fun to me, what do you think?
About resizing a plugin window:
See at t=144
I think the issue is the testflight is loading the iOS build rather than MacOS, and Ableton can't resize iOS-on-mac AUv3s, it looks like. I can, however confirm Logic does, and in both cases see animations.
I am working on better Phone / smaller size layouts like Garageband, but that won't fix Ableton's iOS AUv3 sizing, unfortunately.
Ah nice I’ll check that out in Ableton as well later… fiver sounds great btw, it’s defo fun to play with, tempted to hook it up to an expression pedal to see if I can use it more. Ended up with it on a bus last night so I could dial it in and out a bit easier without losing the tails by just switching…
Seems very cool so far and love the gui design!
The release version will have Intel Mac AU and VST3!
And windows, as well!
I found this thread sitting at my local bar and installed it on my phone. With the microphone on and wearing headphones, it very much reminds me of the old RJDJ app. (Clearly doing different things, but it had that vibe)
Played around with it last night behind a Snare Trap and some light pads, then noodled with a friend on bass and guitar.. This thing is solid. With a little reverb and generation loss it makes for a lush backdrop.
Is it capable of tempo sync, or listening to a clock?
(And five is a steal)
@YIG “Five is a steal” is this out yet? Loving this app, was waiting to see the price first
That sounds fair. I’ll be grabbing it at that price for sure
Launch soon?
It's out now!

The two loopers are both tempo-synced to host, yes! Standalone, I haven't wired up any midi clock.
There's no slider for dilation! @charlesv also what's the difference between Event Horizon and just pulling down the Mix?
@charlesv
on both my devices (ios 17 and 18)
reduce motion is on by default
and I can't turn it off...
Correct - Dilation changes the loop direction, it's not a "slider". Event horizon adjust the feedback/tails, where mix adjusts the wet/dry of the input and effected output.
Do you have reduce motion turned on at the system level? (Accessibility -> Reduce Motion) If so, it respects that. I should let you turn it off to override the system preference, though, good feedback!
Ah, that's a button: not obvious from the ui, it looks like just another visual
@charlesv
any chance for more extreme values?
Curious what you would want, but not planned, no!
@charlesv
non-linearities, instabilities, errors, dissonances
you know....:)
not the default angelic side.
but maybe thats an idea for a new fx
))
possibly called "Pazuzu Club"
Thanks for the feedback (pun not intended). Ambiotica was tuned to sound "nice", but there's certainly room for other bits. I'll think about how to keep guardrails up while giving some more freedom. And to toot my own horn, it does sound nice fed into TAPESCAM.
This was an instabuy after I discovered that there is even a Linux version - for a very very fair price. The sound is great. An ambient effect plugin both for iOS and Linux - fantastic! It works superb with both systems and thanks to the developer to include an option to reduce motion. The UI looks great but I can see CPU usage of Reaper (on Ubuntu Studio 24.04) on my i7 dropping from over 80% to less than 20% when reducing motion.
I always open my new apps in standalone first (per recommendation) but this one refuses to open the UI and it crashes after some chewing time. I'm on an iPad Pro M1 with the troublesome iOS 26.5. It does work in AUM.
I haven't been able to reproduce this on my iPad, but I think it's due to a recent change in iOS orientation flow and an older JUCE. There's an update waiting for apple review that should address it but it's much more fun in a host anyway!
Seconded.
Also, bought. Supporting your inventiveness! Thank you!!!
Great! Sold!
Love this. I'm getting som pops and clicks though...
