That is odd… I always thought it was just a straight conversion, but that’s a lot more, while here in CAD it’s $15 which is less. I wonder if there are other taxes or fees that apply.
They seem to be very selective with their conversions. Seems they don’t take the exchange rate into consideration at all with UK pricing.
This app is a bargain, and I’ll be snapping it up very soon, but we really pay over the odds for more expensive apps and subs.
Apologies for diluting the thread all but apps are coming out so fast it's hard not to let em slip through the cracks: 'Evil Twin' does something really cool for mixing: place on a channel for "not just panning" presence.
At midmarket rate, 12 usd is $17.36 AUD. So 20 is not actually that much more. About 15% higher. That's much less than the markup on UK AppStore apps. A $12 USD app is £12 in the UK, even though $12 is only equivalent to £9.10. So ppl in the UK are paying a 30% markup...Some5of this is due to VAT btw, so that part has nothing to do with Apple.
Do the devs see the increase in what they receive from the higher sale price? Or does the difference go to Apple/local taxes?
The Aussie markup is not normally that high. Might be a mistake...?

Apps are flying by! This sale is already over... Looks like a great way to share files between devices, including Android.... Or maybe you can already do everything this app says and I just didn't know. Sometimes there apps are just shortcuts to features that already exist, but I think this had potential between my two ipads. Ah well, hopefully I am awake when the next freebee offer comes.
Can't find any info on Fuse Void Drum Machine. If it sounds like a Gamechanger Pedal, or some electrical tesla coil sputtering, I'd be down with it.
I'll grab it too. Just having a vent at the corporate greed and middle finger to the rest of the world. If the money went to the developer I'd be less uppity.
It's not that greedy tbh, see my comment above. 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST) adds most of the increase, so it's only 5% higher than the mid market conversion when you look at it like that. UK customers getting a much worse deal.
