Patterning 3 inside of BeatMaker 3 causing a midi loop / phase issue

Hello,
I am trying to use Patterning 3 inside of BeatMaker 3 and while the pattern is running in Patterning 3, I get this kind of phasing issue. I also can see midi coming into the track of BM3. I went to the midi setup and disabled all the midi ins and outs, but it didn't seem to help. Is there some way to control the midi out of Patterning coming into BM3, as it seems like there's some midi loop happening.

    Which settings? BM3's MIDI input/output settings, or the settings inside P3? Also, are you running P3 as an audio unit or running the standalone / IAA version?

    You can make P3 so that it doesn't send or receive MIDI at all.

    I ended up bouncing down the tracks to audio. I was using P3 as an audio unit. How to disable the MIDI out on P3?

    For output, tap the MIDI plug at the top of the settings column in the pattern editor. Then select each pad and tap AUDIO, which will make it output audio only. You probably had BOTH selected.

    For input, you should be good if you set MIDI INPUT Port and Channel both to <NONE> on the pad. But if Patterning 3 isn't outputting any MIDI, you shouldn't need to do that.

    If those don't help then it was something else that we don't need to get to the bottom of since the session is torn down now.
