Lets be honest here. Roland will take some time to update. But who cares when Pro-A5 will be out in a few days. I’m 10 times more stoked about that.

Sounds like progress. Nice!
Well done! Thank you.
Looking forward to AUv3 support soon. Cheers.
Who knows how much it will be. Another mystery. Another perplexing decision by Roland to keep those details fro> @jwmmakerofmusic said:
He never said soon. We are still likely months away given how slow Roland are.
By "soon", I meant their definition of "soon". 😂

Still no AUv3. At this point I’ve lost all enthusiasm for this product and only clinging on due to sheer annoyance.
Look man, it’s still only 2026. Give them time, I’m sure it’ll be done before 2030. So impatient 🙄

I didn’t even bother to update the app last week. I don’t think most people care about anything except auv3. They said “early summer” - but summer is here now…
Does it at least do IAA? lol
Anyone know if any of the SRX expansion board sounds will be repackaged for GX and if so which ones?
nope
It is way too early to say. Roland does not share info about future plans for products, be it hardware or software. If they do, it is part of a plan just like the other large companies. We have no idea, and I think they focus on getting ZGX with AUv3 up and running for mobile before anything else. And obviously, this takes time. It is their first modern desktop product ported for mobile use, and I am reasonably certain they want to see it working flawlessly with its supposed lowered footprint, This is as I understand it the reason it could be ported to iOS in the first place.
If working well and they get a share of the market, there is no reason as I see it for not porting other products in the future. Everything must align though with decided financial and marketing strategies. They do not just fire blindly, there is too much at stake for a large international brand like this.

Looks like no Audiobus support either 😭 deal breaker.
I’m being silly here. Please ignore me.
Yep. In its current form it's basically useless for IOS music production. Honestly makes me wonder why they released it at all. I agree with Doug on this point.
I’m bummed there is no support for Retronyms AudioCopy nor Intua Pasteboard
🤪
We are now in July. Maybe Roland could reach out to other iOS devs if they are struggling with auv3 implementation.
That's quite unlikely, I think it's like with all big-corps suffering from 'Not Invented Here Syndrome' when it comes to asking for external assistance...
Another week. Another lack of update.
At this point Roland should just pay Anthropic for a month of Claude. Git'er done and they don't even have to make it public:)
I'd say this is an outstanding example of how to not release software...
Yep. I totally agree. Unbelievable really.
Absolutely laughably shambolic
Agreed. I've moved on from being interested in Zenology GX by now. Lol. The sounds included are cool if you're looking for those Sound Canvas sounds. However, nothing really innovative as far as I can detect yet.
I am firmly convinced that this synthesizer was originally designed for conventional use on a mobile device - for instance, as a dedicated sound generator. It has all the necessary attributes for that purpose. The lack of AUv3 support in no way diminishes the quality of the product.
So, the problem is evidently that many people have never truly learned - nor ever practiced - the traditional way of producing music. Roland is a traditional company. I own their Cloud Ultimate subscription as well as the Jupiter-Xm, System-8, and TR-8S hardware units. To me, the entire companies concept makes perfect sense.
lol
Yes. LOL. That's exactly how funny the whole thing here is.
Attacking a renowned music industry manufacturer with 50 years of experience and a proven reputation in the music industry in this way, because they didn't comply with the demands of some app collectors in time. (Therefore, my analysis is not wrong, because a real musician probably would see it more the same way I do.)
Can you post some of your music in the creations and collaborations thread to hear, or maybe just a link to some of it? Good to hear different styles and ways of doing things.
I mean, they did state in the initial product description AUv3 would be coming soon. Thats not just angry users pulling expected feature requests out their ass.
