May 2026 Release - Just Stumbled on it

MotifPilot Midi Generator is $4.99, 4 track midi generator with export

Terrible app. Do not buy. I will edit this post and explain later.

    EDIT:

Regardless of your subsequent statements … this is an “excellent” example of an active call for a commercial boycott. And I actually wonder why such statements - which really go far beyond a personal opinion - remain unmoderated.

This is particularly concerning because the intended business damage has already occurred with the initial post. I believe, as I can see, this is an informative and guiding product listing thread here, and that sort of thing really shouldn't be happening here therefore.

Hi - do you have any connection with this MotifPilot app?

I don't know anything specific about this app. That wasn't even the point. But the way it's being presented here is definitely wrong. This thread is actually about price information. However, this product has been dissected in such a way that it's guaranteed to attract attention.

What would it have looked like if it had been "correct"? Hmm?
If we've forgotten that because it's become so incredibly "normal" here, then something's wrong with this whole "community."

They absolutely cannot excuse themselves with the (often repeated) claim of wanting to protect users. Are they a regulatory body forced to weed out evil apps? Most people just collect them anyway and never use them.

That's just a pretext. In reality, it seems to be about an (anonymous) person who is deliberately exploiting the reputation of their community and trying to exert power over a company and potentially ruin someone and their entire business, right? Isn't that so?

This instrumentalism disguised as 'opinion' amounts to nothing more than that.

Should we find and analyze every possible example of something similar here?

I don’t know. Just thought you might be the developer or something.

Well, welcome to the forum! Good on you for voicing your concerns.

It's already here. The sad thing is that people usually seem to feel liberated to pile on, rather than defend any criticism. Check my history.

With the glut of AI slop apps that come out daily, honest opinions are more necessary than ever . @Poppadocrock I’m sorry for veering too far off topic …on topic though I’m sure you’ve noticed a massive increase in new apps compared to usual

Yeah, I’ve just scanned through the latest music app releases using the Aube 2 filter and I can’t believe how much half baked slop has been released this past year. It’s crazy.

  • Was Lattice AI coded? That app had potential but it needed a lot of added features. I'm pretty sure a lot of these slop apps don't get updated.

    New Release - Christin Thompson

Sentium Glitch is new and currently $19.99 on intro sale, 33% off for a limited time

How weird it is that a seasoned developer like CT do release a quite expensive synth (i.e the intro price) and not give one little example of how it sounds. Frustrating.

Pure laziness and disrespect for their customers. Something that’s becoming all too prevalent!

    However, I did ask A.I.:
'The statement cannot be dismissed as mere opinion. It crosses a boundary. Not a pure opinion: An opinion describes one's own experience (“I didn't like the app”). Factual claim to absoluteness: The word “terrible” (terrible app) represents a final, objective judgment about the product. Behavioral dictate: The sentence “Don't buy” is a command (imperative). The author moves from self-statement to manipulating the behavior of others.'

You asked Al? Bwahahaha lolololol 🙄

And I’ll keep the rest of my opinion to myself.

  • @82sechskant_weide said:

I do not even understand the question.
Because that entire criticism is about the meaning and the definition of an 'opinion'.

And as much as I regret to say it, it can't simply be deformed like a kneaded sausage.

Incidentally, the word "majority" is also used here in a very suggestive sense.
In other words, the fact that the majority of apps are hyped here is not a license to financially and mentally ruin certain products and developers.

I’m sure that your use of Al has nothing to do with your lack of understanding.

  • oh bugger, seems Kaleidoscope Echo went up in price....I've had my eye on that one for awhile, should have acted sooner
