Back from a holiday with a few updates, I think this is close to release:

    • Updated the engine to give the whole pipeline a little more presence and cut through the mix
    • Chorus now matches the JP’s “Super Chorus” rates and stereo spread, more than the previous Juno
    • New HOLD toggle on amp env to keep a note held, good for sound design
    • Volume is now saved as part of the patch, letting you dial in and avoid clipping on huge pads
    • A few preset tweaks and new presets
  • And here’s a demo of all the factory presets:

  • you mastered this thing to real perfection .. great job !

  • I love apps like this that focus on doing one thing really well. The ui is lovely as well.

@charlesv first congratulations on your release. Secondly, as a graphic designer and UI guy I appreciate you attention to detail and proper chunking/grouping (to reduce cognitive load) that all your apps seem to have.

    many regards.

( I eagerly await your companion app for this called Old Saw ;) )

    lol you read my mind

  • Have a few updates in the works including:

    • Better mod matrix destination visibility
    • Envs as mod sources
    • New LFO shapes (Saw Down, skewed S&H)
    • Aftertouch / channel pressure
    • Some new mod destinations like sub tune, pan, etc.

    Appreciate all the feedback, everyone!

  • And a nice look by Doug at Sound Test Room, sounds like he had some fun

It’s an excellent app. I feel, however that instead of the interface scaling (in AUM) it should be left scaled fully horizontally and scroll vertically. In order to see the entire interface now, you have to go into full-screen mode and then the interface becomes very small. I’d rather scroll vertically and have the interface full horizontally. This is especially an issue when using AUM’s keyboard. Otherwise, it’s an awesome app that I like a lot like your other apps! I have an A16 iPad FWIW.

    😎✌🏼

Awesome sound and features. Feature request/suggestion: JP-8000 preset import!

  • @Dham unfortunately that’s not really possible – NuSaw doesn’t replicate the JP-8000 architecture (no other oscillator types, only one “real” oscillator, no x-mod, ring, etc. etc.). It’s possible to take JP Supersaw-only presets and translate them, but in my testing trying to recreate some of the more classic patches, the juice was never worth the squeeze.
