For me, the SC version is reminiscent of Mark Isham's soundtrack work. Very pleasing organic feel. The video version is more immediate, upfront and lively, especially so being able to see the notes played. Great touch on the runs. You really have the expressive GeoPlaying down pat. Lovely work, @GeoTony
Thanks @Dominion_Harmonics for taking the time to listen to both versions.. now if I could only combine the best bits of both I’d be happy 😊
Wonderful. It’s not a waste of time listening and watching your beautiful creations! Really enjoy your geomoods and your playing. Very expressive.
Just lovely, per usual. I greatly enjoy the video because it makes the performance real but it also causes me to think about how you are doing what you do vs just enjoying the music. So I turned off the video and just listened. Lowered my blood pressure for sure!
Cheers @Dav and @lukesleepwalker 👍
I’m glad my music has a therapeutic effect 🩺
Good stuff for chaotic times.
Appreciate you dropping in Mike ( @LinearLineman ) 🙏
What luxury! To waste time, the most precious resource any of us ever have. Truly beautiful playing, Tony.
Many thanks Irena 🙏 ( @Svetlovska )
You are right, we very rarely appreciate the time we have left until we find out, for whatever reason, that it’s running out on us.
The title btw is from a quote by Victor Hugo ‘ Short as life is, we make it still shorter by the careless waste of time.’
These were both lovely, contemplative works. I agree that seeing your playing on geoshred in the second version was a great insight into your skills. Everything sounded great, but that swam sax is the star here, I love their instruments. You play them beautifully.
I enjoyed both, but especially liked watching the video. I would really like to see your hands while you play. I’m guessing that you use both hands, similar to finger style guitar. I think I’ll fire up Geoshred today and give it a try. What could possibly go wrong. Peace!
The calm, the underlying tension, and the musical climax show that time manifests itself evolvingly in this work, carried by the beautiful soprano. frenq
