  • I've been having trouble with Tonestack not showing up in the open apps list so I can't fully close it.

If memory serves Tonestack lacked a much needed noise gate, has anyone tried using the gate from jam Up? Can that work?

Brandenburg Gate is available as an IAP, i've not used it so cannot vouch for it's quality

Just bought Galileo and so far don't like the sound. My Casio ctk3200 which I use as a midi keyboard has better organ sounds.
I recommend steel guitar though. And tonestack.
Not the biggest fan of yonac apps. They are a notch or 2 below the top apps Imo. I'm spending less time with these types of apps.

With Galileo don't forget to mess with the organ type, on the right hand side on the organ page, these change the sound quite a lot.
Personally i like the sound I get from Galileo.

  • Woah Tonestack and TC-11 is wild together.... alrighty I shall bite the Motherload.

  • Just bought Galileo. Didn't think I needed an Organ app. But........... This thing sounds really good. Prob. one of my favorites right off the bat with it. I got a sweet sounding Organ sound similar to what Styx used in Blue Collar Man. Love it.

  • The Motherload in ToneStack is fantastic. Anyone who's ever bought guitar stompboxes before knows what an amazing value this price is.

  • A very big update is coming from ToneStack. V2.0 I believe. Just got email from them. Loads of Amps, Fx, ect. Me thinks more completion for Bais Fx?

Cool! I hope there's an iPhone version!!

  • By the way, AmpKit just offered me an "everything" upgrade for $19. On their main page that comes up, they are advertising just 60% off. The message said that it was a one-time offer that wouldn't be offered to me again--how could I refuse that?!? :-) I now have the full versions of ToneStack and AmpKit, and most of JamUp Pro--all on an iPhone!!

  • I am surprised that Redo1 says he doesn't like the sound of Galileo. I was brought up playing Hammonds and I think Galileo is the best organ app on IOS. It "breathes" in the way an actually organ seems to, I love it!

  • Alright then, I picked up Tonestack this morning and my friend stopped by to play so I picked up the Motherload and can say it is well worth the admission fee!

  • I was also thinking about ToneStack, but the question is: will I ever plug my electric guitar(s) into the iPad? I don't think so .. though the Motherload offering seemed to be tempting somehow ..

  • At the price they are asking it is a perfect companion for guitar work and with synths as well. I just could no longer afford not too. 15 bucks for some highly usable guitar tones even though I prefer real amps and effects there is no way to afford all of this outside the app and it can be used for the effects alone with your own amps if you chose. Not long left in the sale now, if you think you might now is the time and you can do some excellent guitar work right on the iPad with almost zero footprint and highly portable.

  • Galileo and Magellan are a solid pair for sure. Galileo actually makes me sound like I know what I'm doing.

  • Galileo makes me wish I played better but even sounds great with my feeble attempts.

ok, that finally got me convinced

    bought

I'll have to play around with it more tomorrow then. I only had a quick play around this morning so not fair to dismiss it or anything I just though it sounded weak even compared to my cheap Casio keyboard sounds. BUT I'll crank it up and give it another go for sure.
It was pretty much free anyway so no complaints about the value.

Ok, played more. I like it pretty fine now. A lot of the presets still don't sound good to me though. Maybe I selected too many of those while flying through it initially.
Most of those do get better with some tweaking and a lot of the time after turning off the rotary cabinet. To my ears anyway.
    Glad I bought it.

  • I think this is going to be a really disappointing season for me this year , another big sale, I rush to The Sound Test Room and immediately realize that and I already have everything thats just been added ;(. What I really need is a 256GB iPad so I keep them all installed.

well in case anyone is looking for advice in the last mins I the sale I am having fun with the motherload bundle I just purchased. Particularly cosmic echo, optivibe, classic distortion all parts of hard rock bundles 1&2

  • I;m pretty sure the Yonac sales will end very soon now
    http://thesoundtestroom.com/app-sales/

  • Maybe....I remember they said that when I bought the Motherlode a few months back, and it was still on sale weeks later...

  • Nothing to worry about then

  • Don't forget to keep scrolling - there are still some insanely great deals that can't last forever. I've used DrumPerfect, Genome, Arpeggist and AudioReverb on tracks, and although it's been a while since I used Genome, I think all are worth the full price of admission. At these sale prices, it's just nuts!

And Yonac's Minisynth II is a beast for a buck ... Find cool sound, record cool sound, paste into AudioShare. Very nice.

  • Nothing new, and Yonac Apps still in sale
    http://thesoundtestroom.com/app-sales/

  • The only Yonac apps on sale now Magellen and minSynth 2, all the other have gone back to normal and Magellen is only for a little bit longer http://thesoundtestroom.com/app-sales/
