Auria Pro playing Lorentz by using StepPolyArp, for Auria Pro Users.
Hi, here is a way to record notes from StepPolyArp to new Auria Pro. It is not a show off, but a easy way for a start to understand our new machine. So, once the set up get perfect, you can record any instrument sitting in Auria Midi Instrument , In this case, it is Lorentz synth on channel 1.
1. Turn Auria and SPA on and set Auria midi page to send clock and notes to SPA
2. In SPA,setting Sync page , tick Auria, and in midi out page, tick StepPoplyArp midi out on channel 1
3. Adjust your notes range on SPA
4. Set up a midi track then press FX button to set up midi control. see photo
5. Insert a instrument in this case Lorentz on channel 1.
6. on Auria's track mdi in and midi out, you insert StepPolyArp
7. go to track 3 midi track window , draw a one long bar on C3 notes to cover a 4 bar lenth long,
then you loop that 4 bars by tick looping plus a auto return button for you to stop the playhead.
8. you arm the red button and randomized StepPolyArp to choose what sound for your liking
9. Press recording red button on Auria and press play to record the notes. You can stop then see all your particular style of midi notes tansform your one long bar loop. In this way, you have plenty opportunities to design many tracks. So producing quality music is no more too difficult for any one.
Too good to be true, now we can have a best set up for playing iPad music, good wekend to all!

Put Gadget on instruments slot. Use SPA to control melody, then fixing notes on Auria Pro, So, no more difficult for anyone.

I don't think you can loop record midi can you??
And I don't really know what the 'auto return' button does.
Great idea above to have the same midi track receiving IAA audio from Lorenz but sending midi to SPA (which in turn send Midi through to Lorenz). I didn't realise you could do this all with just one track from Auria. It means that as well as 'arps' you could create some really nice rhythmic 'pulsed/gated' phrases in the same kind of style as Figure produces - which would be very nice indeed.
' auto return ' button has nothing to do with the recording, it is just a convenient way to push the starting point back for playhead back to begining.
Loop mode for a one bar line (a note) is a way to signal the StepPolyArp a key you would like to press on SPA keyboard. You can have many key notes you want to draw on Auria Pro, one bar is a boring mehtod, but it is easy for you to listen the random notes SPA wants to generates. Once you got a special rhythmic groove form SPA, you just press Auria Pro recording button. Auria Pro begins to re-write that one bar midi notes to whatever midi notes SPA wants to spit out! That is a smart way to listen variety of rhythmic or melodical things.

Thank @Kaikoo - I get it now I think. I get what you're saying about feeding SPA a base note and then getting a load of notes back and recording these in Auria.
For a moment I thought you'd found a way to loop record in Auria. But alas, no.

Today after few practice, I found one thing for you to make adjustment! If you follow the the Auria Pro looping pointer , the StepPolyArp will synch to Auria tempo, but you can only repeat the line (base note) one time only.
After running to end of loop, StepPolyArp will stop and will not rereapt process. You need to change the 'Send Midi Start and Stop' button to 'no' on Auria Pro 'Midi Setting page'. So StepPolyArp can continue to repeat the loop that even the Auria midi track finish the first loop, so Auria will not send a stop command to StepPolyArp.
The only problem to tick to 'No' is that StepPolyArp can not synch to the Auria's tempo, so we need to manually adjust both apps's tempo to match each other. That is not problematic at all, hope this explain well! photo here for your reference to tick that off!
