Many of you like to play bass sound and acid bass. iMS-20 is one of the best choice on iOS for doing this. But as you known already, you can not record midi notes directly on DAW, Korg restricts you for doing that. You can do iMS-20 IAA, but it is not midi. If you run out of idea and need an arppegiator to match all your other tracks. How can you doing an arpeggiation and then record that beautiful sound to a DAW, the time has come. It is the Auria Pro and Fabfilters for your music track.

This lesson follows previous one, if you don't know how, check that link. This time is a bit different, you need Audiobus to chain iMS-20 to Auria ( track2 , audio track), on track1 we still do an arpeggiation as before. On midi track1 you extend that one bar loop as long as you like. You can apply FabFilters to audio track2 in real time simulation for listening. Don't do FabFilters on midi track1 because this time there is no INSTRUMENT on midi track1 FX page (iMS-20 can not be found inside instrument slot), I choose Volcano doing this example. You can do Saturn rining. Timeless2 stereo dealy. But, remember, when you done a decision for FabFilters, you should turn it off for pure recording iMS-20 sound to track2. You do not record FabFilter sound in real time, because that will cause your Audiobus interuption trouble with no sound coming through, then you ruin the setup again for restarting the whole process.

Once done track2 audio, you need a track3 (track3) for your FabFilter recording, you need put master to the input slot of track3 and mute other track and unarm StepPolyArp. Finish the whole work. It is not easy to do iMS-20 sound, but it worth every penny you bought and bring them up to Auria Pro with StepPolyArp doing the trick. My photo has every detail set up in them. You only need hand adjust the tempo to match StepPolyArp to Auria's tempo. End.

If you find this lesson too difficult to comprehend, go to first lesson, you will realize how easy to use SPA on Auria for any 3rd party synth app, if you find sound is too boring, please plug Timeless2 then do again on StepPolyArp, you will be amazed!
