MODSTEP or KirnuCREAM : Pros Cons Yes No Either Or?
Which one are you buying first? Why?
What are quick list pros and cons of each?

Comments
@Rustik,
They are different on target customers! one is special arp, the other is sequencers. You do not mix the two!
If you want Kirnu Arp in Modstep, you are welcome to do so! Don't compared with the looking, although they all running horizontally with synth!
Both and Hazel.
Modstep seems very similar to Pro MIDI. A clip launching, modulation generating, MIDI sequencer. Modstep is nearly a DAW. If it had audio tracks and a way of rendering MIDI clips/tracks to audio it would be a DAW IMO.
Kirnu Cream seems similar to StepPolyArp. An arpeggiator, sequencer MIDI effect kind of thing.
They seem like very different animals to me.
So if I have StepPolyArp and midiSteps, is there any reason to even consider Cream or modSteps? Well, I guess my question is really, what makes them stand out against these others?
Good question! I dunno, it is like what is the differences between perfume brands.
Some just put alcohols with chemicals, some with real flowers. But, you know the differences!
which ones are real?
Modstep, my humble opinion for iOS sequencers and my gut feeling opinion for Kirnu on modern dance track arps!
wine and flowers; always a good combo.
Haha, no solution is one of the solutions.
I'm with @Kaikoo. How you get on with an app seems very subjective and personal. Modstep seems quite different from the apps you already own. Neither SPA or midistep do clip launching. The modulation options in modstep seem much deeper than in SPA (I don't think midistep does modulation)
There is fine line difference between sequencer and arp. You must put arp onto sequencer, not vice versa!
Neither for me. Despite @Kaikoo and his effervescent encouragement, i haven't heard or seen anything to light a fire under my wallet yet.
I like your opinion, in fact, I truly respect it!
And I, yours Sir
I would proffer my opinion that a good arpeggiator really also needs to be a good live controller, too. A poorer arpeggiator, on the other hand, merely resembles a sequencer that has processing functions. However, to throw a spanner into the muddy waters: a good sequencer that offers good live control might well also, independently, offer arpeggiation functionality.
It's Xmas..treat urselves to both..it's not a lot of money...
Cream is powerful.. Been up all night with it and it has a very very decent synth.. The arp is the best I've yet used on ios
Not tried modstep yet tho,, might be cause I don't see myself using it or needing it...
Both.
Why I can not purchase Kirnu Cream Mobile at Apple's Taiwanese app store? Is it for US sales only? Or because of the holiday season?
The thing I asked which one would you buy "first"............meanwhile I ended up buying both.
I bought Cream, couldn't get it really going.
So, I bought Modstep. Couldn't really get into it or figure it out in 4 minutes so I quit that as well.
So, I went back to just playing things myself and skipped the arp/sequencer thing ! ! ! LOL
It indeed IS struggle without the Soundtestroom.
I mean fuuckk me. Last night was a huge let down.
I was shocked that I bought 2 app and couldn't get either to work in a real way.
This is the first time it has happened.
I am not too proud to say I tried again this am to no avail
If all apps(the ones with decent midi) eventually was made with Link enabled, including Auria Pro, Cubasis, MTD DAWs, etc, would you need these, I ask myself? There are loads of apreggeators on IOS. You have Genome, etc. With Link, everything is Midi Clocked nicely. Though, only a few have it at the moment. I'm going to wait & see. There is no rush.
I have figured out how to jam Modstep, lots practice, it is easy, just need your patience to screw it! Break it. If you destroy it, you just re-download it again. however, so far I have zero re-download!
Fun with Modstep!
Part 2 : Tonight!
Ya, I think you going to love Modstep! Try it with FM4 and Altispace. You are really a jamming type person, so it is your babe!
A better comparison to Cream would probably be midiSteps?
I don't have any of these apps yet but right now I'd actually lean more towards midiSteps out of the three because of the apparent lower learning curve. It also looks more like an iPad app compared to the other two which seem to borrow a lot from desktop applications.
I'm sure they're all great but I'm not sure I want something so complicated right now. Perhaps in the future.
Pros: They are both awesome!!
Cons: They both lack iPhone versions.
is, in fact, as it has been stated numerous times on various sites, Kirnu Cream the best arpeggiator in the world? You who know arpeggiators and have had time to mess with iPad version? Does it do anything with Chord progressions like intelligently comping up with them? I'd be curious how it compares to Nora.
Purchased Modstep. Opened it. So confused. Closed it.
Wait for video to explain this thing.
There is no best such thing applied to Arps and Sequencers, only some parts better than others. There are numerous kind of perfumes to choose from, but there is no best perfumes in this world.
I know you don't believe best, same here!
