Well,i don't use my phone for music so i can overlook this.i would be more happy about a preset system where i can access my patches from everywhere...

But nonetheless it's good to see he's improving his apps and universal means a lot more potential buyers,i'm all for it

I just bought them all! :D

  • I'm liking this more and more I play with it. The ability to stack these up in AUM with different presets on every one, then all played together, can't be overstated. Glad it went Universal and that I pulled the trigger!

  • Despite not being a fan of the Moog sound, I grabbed this last night just to have at least one AUX synth. Have to say it sounds great! Very nice low end & an impressively convincing analog emulation (although I find the resonance makes things a little thin, which is not very Moog-ish).

Works brilliantly in AUM, but.....I just tried it in Cubasis and the GUI is scaled wrong. Half of the functions are inaccessible as they're somewhere beyond the boundaries of the screen. This doesn't happen with the Blamsoft fx in Cubasis, just Viking. Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a fix?

oha, you're right. I see the same problem in Cubasis. this wasn't the case until recently so it was probably introduced in Viking's last update

  • mh, on a restart of Cubasis, Viking is all fine on my machine.

seems to be a glitch that only happens in some circumstances

yeah, it was one of the things that forced my finger down the last inch onto the buy button

  • I'm still on the fence...just wish it had a poliphonic switch like the synth inside Cubasis. It sounds amazing too, but can only be used in Cubasis. How hard would it be to make polyphonic?

  • Sprung for this now that it's on phone, and I really love it, especially in combination with the effects bundle. Shame my iPad will be stuck on 8.4 til a new jailbreak solution is out. I don't do any serious recording on the phone.

Nothing will truly capture an analog synth, but this has a nice low end. I prefer using the F-16 filter instead of the on-board synth filter.

As for the guy asking for polyphony, believe me, there was once a time when I thought monosynths were a joke, but once they convince you...

  • Was thinking of the bundle but I really wish it included a delay or does Viking already have a built in delay?

    No!

    RP-1 nice

To each his own..I'm definitely not a Korg man

  • Just discovered this synth and I love it. For me, it has the best balance of sound and programmability/usability of any iPhone synth.

I read a comment about using the F-16 filter. That sounds very interesting, but I was not able to use the envelope or LFO with this filter, making the F-16 filter of very limited use. Is this possible at all?

  • Hm, whatever happened to kaikoo2? I'm ready for pt. 3

  • I thought I was going to shatter a window testing this out through Grind this morning. Seriously fantastic synth.

  • Still amazed how GOOD it sounds.Definitely still in my top 5. I wonder if there will be ever something new in the same ballpark from Blamsoft but sadly it doesn't like it...
