To risk avoid making this thread completely off-topic I'll just quickly describe the situation.
There is no 'SSS' that fully covers all bases yet.(Both BeatMaker 3, FLM 3 etc look promising though).
For a 'Sampling & Synthesis' and 'Pad Sampler' there should be a 'pool' of samples that can be used in both and not limited to one or the other. Meaning user-redorded/edited samples can be used either as 'keyboard instruments' or 'pad-samples'. Naturally sampling/re-sampling of iOS-Apps(AU,IAA etc.) should be seamlessly supported.
For each pad/keyboard-sound the 'synthesis' could be based on traditional S&S meaning pitch, amp and filter envelopes with few filter-types and modulation sources/destinations and when applicable a 'sequence of samples/wave-tables' (This could be for example a transient sample + a looped sound or complete 'wavetable loops' ala Korg Wavestation).
All this can be quite easily achieved using Renoise or the 'Redux VST' but on iOS it's still a chore...
Ok, Back to iMPC Pro, I will re-install it once the sampling-department gets a much needed overhaul described in many of the iMPC related threads here...
I personally love Retronyms products. Why so much hate? Rhetorical. Don't care.
Sucks that they don't do Audiobus but I can say that IMPC app is incredible.
