Soft Drummer, The GRAND Tour, Ultra Realistic Drum Machine, iPad Demo
Luis Martinez does it again, this time with Soft Drummer, only this time there is even more super delicious stuff to play with, like LIVE PADS and LINK and……well just watch the video and listen to how real this can sound, and oh my…the Compressor is just sooooooooo good.
Can you tell I like it…..I like it a….LOT

Another winner. It's great when developers such as Luis present something that does the business. No excuses. No 'we'll add it later, maybe' just a brilliant fully working app that covers all the required bases. Couldn't get more cool beans without using an ice bucket!
Very nice.
Just been jamming with Audiobus remote triggers and Fugue Machine, brilliant fun
Thank you Sir Doug. Regards to the dog.
Question before I buy: only 4/4 time? Can it do 6/8 or other time signatures?
you should sample your dog and send it through Voxsyn and Moebius labs.
(along with gadget and soft drummer of course...)
Instant Album right there!

Watson sounded like he needed a can of doggy gobble.
once again Doug empties my wallet
R.I.P. money. i hardly knew ya.....
Me too, but it might just be the best drum machine yet...
Wow, that is awesome. I hope we see those features make their way into rock drummer and funk drummer, lots of subtle, fantastic improvements. With the live pads, jam intensity per kit piece, etc, looks very very easy to map out a song.
This is single handedly the best drummer app i've seen. and i used to think Addictive Drums 2 or Ezdrummer was amazing. Sure. those sound better but this one just feels amazing. and thanks to link and all the live features its incredibly fun jamming with multiple ipads and other devices like volcas (synckontrol has link now so you can actually daisy chain a bunch of volcas and jam in ableton link with them)
From your lips to the the ears of the Luis God.
Yeah, I thought there were dog samples in there! Those kits have got bark.
And bite
Holy crap those effects pop-up menus! Are those in any of his other apps?
His stuff is so good, I might have to look at this even though I don't particularly like jazz. I actually think the sounds are useful for a number of genres. Awesome practice aids for guitar players, as well.
Wow that sounds smooth
This drums + Marseille or Salzburg + Madrid + Heavy Brass = King of jazz
How does it compare to Drum Perfect, sound-wise?
I think you could reach the same results by using the Jazz Session extra pack within DrumPerfect pro. There are lots of great loops included in that pack and DPP more flexible than Soft Drummer for the same money (IMHO-IMHO-IMHO).
is there a demo of this pack?
Thanks again Doug for your video/reviews....they have been invaluable to me over the years. Question....does the new app allow you to assign multiple kits in song mode, so that you could have a hi-hat in the verse, and a ride cymbal in the chorus?
Dexter
Does that pack have decent sounding brushes? The ones that come with DPP don't really do it for me.
The idea that you can create your own patterns was kind of glossed over in the video, as almost an afterthought. But it's safe to say that this allows you to create patterns just as any other drum machine does, yes? And are there IAPs?
Soft Drummer does allow you create your own patterns and edit existing ones, in fact the editor I find to be one of the friendliest around. And it allows you to be very flexible about the number of beats to the bar and the number of subdivisions per beat (the latter can be changed per beat!) so it is hugely fkexible. No in-app purchases, it is all there.
Nice, trank you !
I like your Videos and Show everything .
All right then! At least it's not on sale so I have to make an immediate decision. ...right??
Yes that was just glossed over, sorry guys, the app is big and I always just get carried away with the in,coded loops, but yes it's very flexible in the programming department too

How many sounds a kit contains ? Only 5 like in RDM ?
There are 5 parts to each pattern, but there are many more sounds in both this and RDM, as each part has up to three variations, so for example a hi-hat part can contain closed, open and soft variations. I think it aids creating and editing patterns rather than being a drawback.
