AU support Preset Change via MIDI.

I'm looking for a way to select change/select presets of AU's, hosted in AUM, using external MIDI controller. Specifically:
Ruismaker
Phasemaker
Poison
Viking
iSem

Is it possible?

    I'm not sure but I bet @brambos can at least tell you if it's theoretically possible. Seems to me the host app would have to be smart enough to ignore and pass the PC messages through.

    RuisMaker and Ruismaker FM support program change messages. I'm able to automate program changes from Auria Pro, ModStep, and Cubasis for them. Phasemaker, iSEM, and Viking do not appear to support program changes. Poison I don't have, but you should be able to look it up if there's a manual ... or just try.

    Thanks, I did try, using Midi Designer Pro, sending both PC and Bank/PC messages, but didn't have any luck. Then again, it didn't work with Ruismaker for me either, so maybe I was doing something wrong.

    Just an idea... Since they're AU's that you're changing can you Solo/Mute the preset channels you need?

    yeah, that's the backup plan. I currently have the synths loaded in AUM, "on" all the time with their AUM faders controlled by faders on my MIDI keyboard. I'd prefer not to have an instance of each AU loaded for each preset I want to use during a live set, but that would work.

    You could also assign Solo/Mute buttons to the highest or lowest key so they aren't fader controls, just key presses? Depends what sort of MIDI keyboard you have if it's fast enough for you I guess
