ROLI Noise update. Caution
Seems you now have to register and login to use the app. Don't remember doing this before. Haven't seen the app on the other side yet. Looks like a lot of changes have been made.
Edit: Oh ok. It's now an app for use with your blocks. The old app is gone. And I miss it! Aw crap.
Is there an easy way to undo the update?

Lol what the hell? It's a completely new app! But it actually seems kind of fun and since I got the old one I can get this for nothing

Well I got into it. It's basically a hybrid of Figure and IKaossilator, one drum kit and 4 instruments, song mode, and you can purchase more sounds already there are a few packs HOWEVER! .....there is absolutely zero way to get the audio out, no copy paste, no Audiobus, no nothing AND they want you to upload the tracks to their internet bullshit thing under A CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSE. But I say, there's probably some cool sounds to be had, so stick it to em and do the ol headphone jack recording
I liked the old one. Do not like this and don't like registering with my email and logging in. So bah humbug, deleted.
It's a shame really. With a quantum of connectivity and no login crap this could sit nicely in the "fun little groovebox" category. Nice sounds

Thanks for the warning. Not sure why they didn't just make this a new app. Really strange to eliminate the old app. Thankfully I don't have "automatic updates" enabled.
This is why iOS apps can't be charged at high prices...one update and they're gone.

If they charged for IAPs which are now completely wiped, well that seriously sucks. Why nuke the old app? Surely it would be fairer to customers to JUST MAKE A NEW APP for the new, completely different, update.

There were midi out in the old one now it's gone. I can't restore my hybrid acoustic iap which was excellent .Even the logo has changed ...
It does seem like an ill-judged and premature "update". Rather annoyed that I didn't check here first - just hit update and the squidgy keyboard was gone.
And yes, the new stuff is glitchy on the Air 1, though it does seem to run. The blocks got a bit of a roasting, too, from Tim Webb at discchord, so it'll be interesting to see what their next move is.

Glad someone mentioned this. I downloaded it the other to try the squidgy keyboard with my new iPhone7, but I couldn't find the keyboard and figured I was just missing something. Planned on looking into it more later this week. Doh!
It was a completely idiotic move, made without a care for their existing users. I had the Noise app on my phone, at least the fact that it had zero connectivity with other apps meant I hardly used it, but still.
Either the company is high-handed and arrogant (a la Apple), or they are incompetent and the release was poorly planned (rushed for the new hardware). Either way the user loses out and the PR is pretty bad.
Oh and it's another one of those you give away your music copyright deals too.
