iPad Air2 & OP-1 (noob questions)

Hi all,
I got an op1 and just ordered an iPad and I like to use the two together.

In an ideal world I'd like to:

1) have the two devices both send and receive audio and midi between them through the Lightning to USB3 adapter.

2) Output audio from op1 as input to iPad, and output of iPad back to op1 audio input (without digital noise)

Is it possible?
Do I need additional hardware other than the USB3 adapter?

Thanks a lot and sorry for many questions but I'm a iOS noob :wink:
