iPad to PC connection
Is anyone using iPad and laptop PC together?
I have Wifi connection with rtpMIDI where I can control MIDI with MDP in Reaktor but that's all.
Is there a way to get audio/MIDI out from iPad to PC (or to sound card) without using another sound card like UCA222? (I know uca222 does audio only.)
I couldn't connect with desktop remote or studiomux...
Any solutions or ideas are greatly appreciated. ![]()

I use the iConnect Audio 4+ interface with an iPad and a Windows laptop simultaneously - you can easily route audio/midi through the interface itself. If you don't want to go that way, you can use the musicIO apps
https://appsto.re/de/iLaL5.i to send audio and MIDI directly through a lightning to USB cable. Haven't tried this myself though.
if you have the intention to use an IOS device extensively together with a PC/Mac then an iConnect interface definitely is worth the expense.
The iCA4+ in particular for it's extra anlog in/outs to even a 3rd system or analog gear can be connected - and it includes all cables.
Those IOS charging cables are very(!) expensive and not included with the iCA2+ (afaik)
I've read about some trouble with iPad Air2 and IOS 10, but don't know current state as I'm still on version 9. At least iConnectivit is a smart company that adresses issues as fast as they can.
This is a cheaper alternative that does what you asked for:

You will have to buy a suitable psu if you need to charge the iPad.
I would advise you to take the audio2 + a big deal. Especially for PC users. With it you need no other audio source anymore, for example the default pc problem, additional audio outputs, for example, Monitor headphone Cue. And much more cool features in addition.
Has the 4+ and there is almost nothing that comparable in Audio and MIDI routing, still to those costs.
The only weak point is the attitude, somewhat unclear. Which needs some time, read and trying. If you should decide for it I gladly with my known and perhaps some configs to continue with the important things, fun with it
You could try MusicIO app ?
Or Studiomux
Yesterday I played Conductr with Ableton Live with USB lighting in Windows 10. Easy set-up and works great.
Thanks for the tips.
I can't buy another sound card, I have the ZOOM U24 which works great, is for iOS and has 2 x audio in (mono) or 1x stereo and 3x audio pairs out.
And I have: MIDI keyboard PCR controller and BSP sequencer.
I have it setup like this:
MIDI outs from BSP and PCR to a Y MIDI cord to IN of U24.
MIDI out from U-24 returns to BSP.
Main audio out goes to PA.
All works fine but ONLY one or the other...PC or iPad, but not together ....
The least expensive solution I figured was UCA-222 and take audio out from iPad into U24...and could use Ableton and LINK apps...for sync for the 2.
I tried midimux but couldn't get it working, @Ivan_Dj , do you use VSTs/Ableton only? Wish I could get it to work....
I would prefer that hookup, just one cable to PC and PC out to U24.
@DeVlaeminck , how do you deal with AUDIO?...it's MIDI only...
THANKS all
@soundklinik It it NOT midi only. it facilitates audio pass throug from the iPad to the PC. So it requires that an audio interface is attached to the PC to get sound from both devices, which I assumed you had since you talked about avoiding an additional audio interface. On a PC this requires use of Asio4all, as there is no such thing as an aggregated device as on Mac.
