No problems connecting. Have you also tried using a simple unpowered USB hub between the cck and you're midi hardware ?.
I have a chord that I bought in eBay. In one end it's lightning and the other end it's printer USB.
It worked great until now... I will check with a hub and let you know...thanks man.
I had a similar thing with a cheap HDMI adapter I bought on eBay, it worked fine for one iOS but an update (might have been from 9 to 10) killed it.
I guess Apple can detect non-official adapters with each update and prevent their use.
It's made me very wary about buying non-Apple cables/adapters.
Guys I simply can't afford this silliness,I've just ordered an iconnect midi in case this ain't fixed soon. I spoke to the audio dabbler on YouTube and his iconnect unit was working fine, so it must be an issue with recognising the cck..

Since iOS 8 i always have had to use a USB hub to get rid of the power warnings and be able to connect my keyboard. The USB hub prevents iOS to measure how many power your midi device takes and connects instantly.
Are they both official Apple cck?
Is this the older CCK without the charging port? The new one is working here on iPhone SE iOS 10.3.
Biancaneve, no they are not and that's probably it I imagine they still work with all my other iOS stuff so the update must know and killed them. So Iconnectivity here I come and this nonsense won't happen again, hopefully.
I guess il reap all the benefits of audio pass through etc and be able to use my iPad as a vst and effects unit.. so it's probably a blessing. Anyway nice to meet all as this was my first post : )
Thanks for the info, thinking back my problem was with my iPad 2 and I've moved on to a Pro since but good advice to use a (powered) USB hub to avoid issues.
Jakob Haq did some good YouTube analysis on this subject not so long ago.
My iPad 2 HDMI adapter couldn't use a hub so it's gathering dust ...

Another thing I hate is Apple enable automatically iMessage, wich means my phone send and international message that I must to pay for, and I can't avoid it.

Somehow they also managed to force me back in to 2 factor authentication, which I had intentionally disabled because it kept failing with one of my computers. Now there's no way out of that except changing my AppleID pw, which I really don't want to.
Actually, you can keep the ID but you'll be forced to change the pasword. So you could choice one temporally and change it again to come back to the original one.
I'm doing that right now.

Not music related, but since the update my iPhone SE camera doesn't remember my HDR settings. So when I take a photo I have to click the tiny link for it, then the tiny 'on' switch, and then take the photo. By which time the UFO has flown away.
I remember seeing some options to make photo settings persistent in the system settings app. Maybe that can help you catch the next UFO in time.

It's worth noting that the 10.3.1 update takes quite a while to work its magic. I thought it hung up, but the progress bar just moves veeeerrrrryyy slooowwwllllyyy until it moves very fast (and runs through twice, IIRC).
Maybe you have some accessibility features enabled?
Doesn't seem to work unfortunately. Despite updating the settings I get a random setup when opening the camera, was on 'slo-mo' last time, and not saving the HDR stuff.
I am completely pissed off with this now. Not only does it not save my previous camera settings, it throws in random configurations - so I'm presented with 'square' or 'video' formats I have to change.
THE most annoying thing ever is happen ing now as well - it's started switching off the HDR setting DURING a sequence of shots. So the first two photos have HDR switched on (never by default now, I always have to enable it), but one's after that don't.
All the above is random of course so I can never predict it's going to do it, though it never remembers the HDR setting when opened.
Why do they have to keep breaking things that work. Might have to try using a camera app instead of the defaul, cocked up thing.
On most contemporaneous camera phones the HDR is achieved by shooting several rapid consecutive shots of differing exposures and extrapolating the exposure delta to achieve the perfectly flat 18% grey with edge enhancement of compression artefacts that we know of as HDR. The iPad (and presumably iPhone, never had one) seems to do HDR differently - it takes a single shot, demonstrated by shooting a moving subject in HDR - it doesn't give the double-image ghosting that most other mobile cams with HDR will make you suffer from. That seems good. The downside is, every time I've shot HDR on the iPad, I either can't tell the difference between it and the normal version, or I prefer the normal version.
