Mitosynth Update AB3

Love this beautiful synth!
The Omnisphere of IOS!

  • OK, was eyeing this but thinking, Oh, it hasn't been updated in so long. But is this a real update or just an AB3 tweak? I guess it doesn't really matter?

  • This is my synth for luchiius strings and pads with Bellish accents. On my iPhone SE it's pure joy to have!

  • It's a mature app. Only maintenance updated needed here.

They pretty much nailed it to me right off the bat. I am not a big synth guy so what I love is how it is not a field of parameters which may or may not be used that I have to peck through. Everything exposed for a patch does something. Preset tweakers paradise.

That sounds good. Also, does it have some sort of sequencer/arp built in?

I don't believe so, but you can import you own sample recordings (several) and morph/blend them all together to varying degrees with additional effects, modulation, etc. to create absolutely custom, unique synths.

It's on one of my personal favs and absolutely worth the price. It's also never been on sale either so none of the cheesy yo-yo pricing strategy. Just a solid unique app that's fairly priced and now it appears... Maintained.

    Two thumbs up :)

  • No need. Does have built in recorder exports to AudioShare.

It's a nice synth thing with clever ways of doing stuff which I don't even have the musical brain to get too far into, but more than anything (for me) it's an elegant piece of design. I do use it, but I like owning it and knowing I can get it out and look at it whenever the mood strikes etc.

  • Haven't use it much . I did download some extra patches with very good sounds but:
Only few of the parameters can be assign to the pads
Most times tweaking values result in audio glitch. (not weak CPU related)

It still remains an A class synth for atmospheric music

  • Nice synth but I'm not seeing any AB3 specific compatibility in this update, think it's just an iOS update. So you can't use it as a midi receiver etc.

  • Hmmmm, could have swore I used this in Cubasis before... hmmmm... mmm?

  • You can use it with core midi, just not Ab3 midi

Huh, must have just been jamming by hand. Glad it got this little update bump. Rediscovering a bunch of creepy flutes that work perfectly on the current track.

Yeah, funny/good that aint it? I love updates (when they're lovable), but often am just pleased to be nudged back to something I haven't blown the dust of in a while....
