Stravinski

"Stravinski" is a melody generator that creates eight-bar piano melodies with adjustable complexity. The algorithm is based on scientific research in the field of music psychology. It is developed by the team behind "CHAiOS SYNTH 2".

Workflow: set the complexity to your preferred level, press "generate", then "play". That's it. Hit "settings" to set tempo and key, or toggle the drum tracks on/off.

Of cause "Stravinski" supports Audiobus and Inter-App Audio.

Have fun and get inspired by this next-gen melody algorithm!

  • Nice!
    off to try it

  • no midi out?
    sort of makes it useless...

  • That is so cool. Now I don't even have to come up with lame melodies myself.

  • The robot overlords have come for your soul.

  • sad that this doesnt have midi out or some form of midi export. till it does i will pass :(

  • I use MIDImorphosis to convert audio to Midi, in which you can select the MF adapter in 1 to control app's in the AB3 Midi pipeline. Tested with Chaios Synth 2 (same dev).

don't get me wrong. i know this is possible. its just an unnecessary hassle.

Not the most winsome store teaser video for showing off what it can do...you'd think they'd randomize until they got something more melodic to use...if it is possible

  • Has anyone actually made this work with either AB or IAA?

  • the rumbling sound you're hearing is Igor turning in his grave.

    @BiancaNeve
Works fine in ab with soft drummer and a gadget madrid's bass. This apps helps me to find some piano phrases for jazz ´s jamming .

You could at least indicate that it's not a free app... Reading your first post, I admit I thought it was free... Disappointing !

  • It's my mistake, even if we don't use to talk about price generally ...I am reading and listening to Igor Stravinsky to be forgiven.I like the composer.

There's nothing in the OP that makes me think there's any reason for it to be free.

  • Hey folks, we are very sorry that the audiobus feature doesn't work - "Stravinski" really isn't meant to be used as a standalone! The new version is already in review and should be available in one or two days.

  • Nice to hear, thx @Per_Loe

  • @Per_Loe can we please get midi out or midi export ? would instabuy if either feature got added....

  • I just heard the demo.. NEWSFLASH! You already have an app like this with no midi. It's called your brain. Call up a piano sound even if you've never played and poke around with two index fingers. Voila! Instant Stravinsky app! Chords.. well.. a little more complicated but same process, really .

Wow, "cool" newsflash bro. Did you study such riveting journalism in a trade school, or are you just naturally gifted? Maybe it was that new soon-to-be-illegal substance you just shot up your arm (which is not doing your brain any favours). Seriously mate, why do you care what other people do with their money? Do what you will with your money and time on the App Store and save the snubbery for the symphony halls.
