Donut, CP 1919, Sound Scope Space for iPad, ExtraSlice and HyperSpace 3D Synthesizer are for the first time free at the moment. Especially interesting and fun for people who like to make scoundscapes and/or noise.

    I've only spent a few minutes with it, but CP 1919 seems to work best as a crackle generator through my iPad's speakers. Would headphones make a difference here? Another other tips for avoiding the crackles?

    On the upside, the visuals are good and trippy. o:)

    Woah, the microtonality at around 1:04 of the video is really fascinating.
    Do these apps have ANY way to play with other apps? Are they on the bus at least?

    I retired it a long time ago for that reason. Very easy to overload.

    I'll have to turn down all five of them. Two I DLed & immediately deleted, as the window warning about slowing down my iPhone popped up for both (updates?); at least one of the other three is obviously for iPad (I didn't bother to look for CP1919 because I know better); and one of the others might be mislabeled - I only got hungry looking through the apps with that one app name attached and never found it, iPad or otherwise!

    I used headphones and I think I damaged my ears with CP1919... :neutral: Seriously, though, I'm sure some of you can do interesting things with these and I appreciate the creativity (and generosity) of the developer, but I couldn't get anything remotely musical out of them with 15 minutes invested. Guess you have to have an external audio source with Donut which looked interesting, but probably not my cup of coffee. Maybe I'll circle a round again later (see what I did there?).

    Yeah, I played around with three of these, and ended up deleting them all. They all seem like unfinished projects, and the developer has obviously given up on them, as is his reputation.

    If you're interested in noisemakers, there's plenty of other good apps out there for cheap.

    I really like Megacurtis, but to be honest, nowadays Apps like iDensity take the idea much further, and are much better sustained through the years.
