Can't quite remember but I think Spawn Rand includes the arpeggiator.
Yonac is working on a new synth.they have announced that on FB.
Nice ... hope really does spring eternal
Totally agree. Very inspiring to see a part of a school's curriculum devoted to that.
Does only the iPad version have preset packs?

Appears so .. no IAP's for iPhone version..
Don't need them really! This little JR synth is a beast!!!
Sooooo many presets to be made and useable ones not just blips or noises. Get this synth while you still can at this rediculous price. Did I mention it has Ableton Link? Bam! Sold.
Everything I've ever got from yonac is quality and support has always been great too.
Honestly as far as preset packs go you can get some from different places around the Web and also in my opinion just open up the spawn setting and adjust sliders and when you come across something pleasing adjust it a bit and bam. Done
Yeah, I bought em both, and Galileo too, last time they were on sale
I don't really enjoy the iPad 3 much, so I don't currently buy iPad only apps, much less their IAPs. Well at least I don't have the Animoog conundrum. Sounds like no IAPs for MagellanJr is a non-issue. So I'll just enjoy it for what it is
Warning - be wary about buying this if you plan on using lightening ear plugs.
I've got about 15 soft synths and have absolutely no problem with any of them, except for Magellan. With lightening ear phones ( I have tried with Apple's and Libratone's earphones) this synth crackles so badly and loudly it is absolutely utterly unusable.
It is however ok if a standard jack socket set of head phones is used.
I posted this problem on the developer support web site a few weeks ago, but they totally failed to acknowledge the problem/posting. Which is weird given there defiantly is a problem, for me at least, and other people say what great support they have. Well not this time they don't.
(iPad air 2, iOS 10.3.2).
@mungbeans maybe there is some strange buffer setting. Could you try Magellan within Audiobus?
Have you tried lowering the master volume knob a little ?
Lots of ios synths have the master volume adjusted too much into the red zone and need to lower the volume knob/slider to prevent crackles and distorted sounds when using with apps like soundprism, chordup etc.
I tried launching it within Audiobus but it was the same thing. If I launch the app independently, and earphones are plugged into the lightening adapter, then a dialog pops up saying another app is controlling hardware sample rate. It says to set the sample rate in the other apps, or if that isn't possible to close them".
However the thing is, this dialog appears when there are absolutely no other apps running at all on the iPad apart from Magellan. If I terminate everything then run Magellan it still pops up this dialog if the lightening port is being used.
Its worse than just the crackes I described - there are random attacks of dangerous ear-bleeding NOISE. So its something other than just the volume.
First launch AB ,then Magellan then plug the earphones . Hope it works
Unfortunately not, as soon as I plug in the earphones that dialog appears. And this time there's silence rather than crackes/noise.
Last try:
Launch another working app inside Audiobus, double check it works when earphones are plugged, then launch Magellan
Ran another app (Sunrizer) in AB, it sounds fine. Additionally ran Magellan and it crackles.
Repeated with jack plug ear phones and both synths sound fine.
Magellan simply does just not work with lightening earphones. It can't be a problem with my earphones themselves - 15 other synths don't have a problem with them, plus I have two different pairs from different manufacturers.
There's no other possible conclusion to reach than that there is a problem/bug with Magellan itself.
On the Magellan forum another user has reported the same problem - their lightening earplug work with all their other apps, but with Magellan crackles or silence.
Come on Yonac Software you need to fix this - what about people with devices that only have a lightening socket.
Did you reboot the idevice completely ?
Is the problem with the headphones due to sample rate anomalies? I seem to recall that happening previously in some other apps!
