This one sounds quite nice! (I have a weak spot for folders/warpers and audio-manglers in general).
In my opinion warpers/folders could use an oscilloscope as the waves look quite nice when flipped and folded

A Zeeon lead patch with high resonance trough a wavefolder can give you this kind of electric lead guitar sound.
But handle with care and it works best with mono sounds (for what wavefolders are used mainly anyway in hardware). Or use it polyphonic. One instance for each instance of a synth. Polyphonic distortion is great. ...ouch
I like distorted pads this way.
But always a limiter is recommended while experimenting with these things.
I once forgot that and a feedback peaked the hell out of my ears.....ouch!
Yeah, I definitely threw the Amazing Noises Limiter on there. A steal for a dollar, and the best part is it’s at the very top of the AUM AU list
I can't speak highly enough of the Amazing Noises/apeSoft stuff. Not to derail the thread, but the sound quality is mint, and they all have the ability to "play it straight" but then they can push things SO FAR beyond being reasonable. It's just silly.
Still on the fence with FoldR as I'm questioning how much I'll use it. Odessa, where are you?!?!?!?!?
Are you trying to tell us you will not purchase both Odessa and FoldR? As both are amazingly useful and neither excludes the other, I call your bluff.
Looks like a good piece of stuff, but overall might be too much in the Glitch Forest for my use....
Agreeing with the Boss here, wasn’t grabbed by the demo vid, but happy to be shown different.
Ah, didn't even think of it for Glitchy stuff, but true enough, it is probably awesome for that too. Not my thing though. I've only tried it out so far on Brice's Zeeon/LayR presets for creating drones/synth scapes with some "spice", as well as get rythmic things going without being "drums" in the traditional sense. Guess that could be done in a multitude of ways though.
I wish Layr was an AU, I don’t really a lot of instances of it, but I just like having synths inside DAWs over routing thru IAA or Audiobus, don’t get me wrong, I love Audiobus for a lot of reasons, but I definitely find myself giving preferential treatment to apps that support AUV3 these days.
While the app does wave folding distortion,, you can easily turn various knobs to the right to get the amount of distortion you want which can really provide for some interesting timbres using low frequency or percussive audio sources at lower input volumes.
It sounds BADASS with a guitar. A little like the Eventide H9’s Sculpt algorithm, but only a little.
