Patterning is 40% off. How tight is It’s Link sync and MIDI out?

I’m considering picking up Patterning, but I’ve been disappointed recently with a few purchases of apps that don’t sync very tight, or Link doesn’t work at all. How tight is Patterning’s Link sync? Like if you start the metronome in Patterning and AUM, both running on Link, are they dead on or do you hear a slight delay at all? How about Patterning synced as IAA in AUM?
As comparison, I find SeekBeats tight, but ElasticDrums not tight.

I have used it with Cubasis and BM3. The sync has been awesome. Even all eight audio channels outputting separately and recording into Cubasis was extremely solid on my Air1 back in the day. Still great on latest OS ipad5 pumping linked midi into BM3. It has been one of the best apps as far as LINK and IAA connectivity with well laid out options etc. Worth it and more at full price imho.
Hurray for you @AudioGus! Thanks for the input, that is good news. And bonus, I didn’t realize it has 8 separate outs! Well then, with your trusted words bolstering my confidence, I will make a little change to my shopping list.
Cheers!
I, too, have been disappointed with sync and MIDI timing using several iPad apps, Elastic Drums being one of them. I ran some tests and found Patterning to have the tightest timing of the drum apps I tried.
Can you import own drum samples without having to purchase some IAP
Or are you only forced to buy packs?
Yes you can import your own samples - I use AudioShare to send samples to Paterning - works well. The sync with AUM is rock solid.
Oh double bonus! I’m looking forward to this.
Big fan of patterning
Super tight
Just buy it
Awesome
I sometimes feel like I spend more time fiddling with setting and trying to get all these apps synced up, then I do making actual music. I’m looking forward to an all AU environment where there are no sync settings, it just happens.
Ok, I go do now.
Yep, can confirm Link is fine and tight. Haven't tried midi sync though but I expect it will be as good. Patterning is a solid app throughout.
Thanks everyone! I sprung for Patterning and can confirm that the Link sync is dead on. The IAA sync is just a hair late. But I am pleased. Don’t know why I didn’t go for this sooner.
There are hundreds of kits available from iCloud at the touch of a button as a built in feature of Patterning. It's a superb app- and very user friendly.
Wow, like kits for free? This is the gift that keeps on giving.
...Ok, I just went and looked.
Very cool! And the first kit on the list was from our very own @RUST( i )K .
You can close your eye and buy this one, Bud... Sync is TIGHT and MANY other features...$5.99 is more than a steal... Great App...
