What's the best way to get MIDI data from Ruismaker FM to a DAW [solved]
I'm trying to use Ruismaker FM generated MIDI patterns in Reason, and Maschine (DAW). I'm using the standard export 'pattern as MID' option, but when I open the files in my DAW's they don't seem to be aligned with the same drum channels as in RM.
In Reason this isn't such a big deal, as I can grab all the notes and move them up or down a notch, but when I open the file in a Maschine drum track only three of the recorded note channels appear at the bottom, the rest are cut off.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, or there's an export option I'm missing as Troublemaker lines are exporting without any issue.
Any tips gratefully received!

Have you tried using the GM Keymap (General MIDI) option ?
Brilliant! That works, thanks Andy. I wasn't sure if that would affect the exported file (I did check the manual exporting section), but has worked perfectly with both DAW's.
I've never used Brambos MIDI files on the desktop before, but since RM and TM are so brilliant at generating usable patterns, getting them into my desktop DAW's is a wonderful thing.
Lovely.
Yeah, those 'little' sequencers are pretty special...just the right balance of features and simple useability.
Absolutely brilliant, I’ll be using this a lot.
this is better than when E.T. came back to life
