Wow, voice to midi export. I am intrigued. Anybody know more about it? It’s only a couple months old, so maybe not yet.
It does seem intriguing, but I also would like to see and hear a proper demo.
Now this looks quite useful! I'm constantly out in my car humming new ideas into the voice recorder app on my iPhone. Or I'll use Loopy or something if I want to loop the parts. The MIDI export recently released looks to be a pretty critical piece to my workflow. Might have to pull the trigger on this...
Pretty impressive, although it really seems to have liberally swiped Loopy's ingenius circular waveform and rotation quantization.
I, personally, am in no hurry to have manifest proof of how horrible my pitch is.....

Is it limited to 2 bars?
If so, it would easier to just hum into Garageband or aum and them use MidiGuitar to convert to midi if necesary. No limit to how many bars or how many tracks.
I tend to him into Garagband and then just play the midi in after using the piano or guitar instruments - using my hum track as a guide ( which will be out of tune and need me to interpret what note i meant- something an audio to midi converter would not be able to do)
Yes, limited to two bars and it is a substantial limit in real time usage. I could deal with that and even the fact that there's no way to nudge a note into the right spot when it's just a little off if the pitch tracking was spot on. But it's not. I spent more than an hour futzing with it and found that using headphones, which is recommended with the Metronome on, is very buggy. Most of the time I was unable to capture a recording. Take headphones out and recording works better but the Metronome messes with the tracking. Even with the Metronome off the tracking is really not all that good. Too bad. Nice UX and concept. Just doesn't work for me.

Beats to midi seems easy to implement and is not that big of a deal. It’s melody to midi that is still really hard. Midi Guitar 2 is amazing, the rest are pretty disappointing. I guess this one is another let down for now. I hope they can improve on this first attempt.

This app looks like it might have great potential. Will monitor what the early adopters say.
ScoreCloud is pretty good at note detection and will generate a music score
Downside is if you want to have it translated into midi you have to sign up for a subscription to their online service

Midimorphosis does a nice job turning melody into MIDI from other synth apps; wonder how well it works for voice, humming etc... Anyone try it? I’ll give it a shot sometime in the next couple days in some stolen moment.
