But proper 14 day demos or so would solve most of the trouble i have with iOS apps.

Lots of apps and games are only useful or entertaining for a period (or situation/occasion) shorter than 14 days. It's a model that would certainly be abused to the extent that it substantially hurts Apple and developers alike.

    But if developers could decide....
If a music production tool doesn‘t please me longer than 14 days it‘s not the right thing anyway.
All i can say is i didn‘t buy now 9 of 10 apps i‘m interested in for this reason.
Or do you want to release a new app every 14 days? ;)

Obviously I was talking about apps in general. Apple doesn’t make special rules for our little niche. And for games (by far the biggest app business segment) a 14 day rule would be totally catastrophic. :)

    Yes, sadly.
95% of my iOS apps are still only music production related. So i‘m mainly interested in this niche market.
Again i miss the pro app store.

  • Well... I’m not just sitting on my ass letting capitalism rip me off, I’m doing something about it!

  • This will not stand:

Games demos seem to work elsewhere?
