Crap.....one more thing on my radar. Just saw....it’s pretty spectacular.
Why would I want this when I already have VCVrack for free? Please enlighten my ignorance.
Don’t have to carry around a laptop
Do you have any actual hardware? I recently bought a Digitakt, which is a wonder of conditional triggers and sample manipulation — and which is rapidly being approached by Grooverider and the coming Patterning update. And yet! The touch of an instrument cannot be replaced. I am no snob at all — I love the iPad and its sounds. But the tactile sensation of playing the Digitakt cannot be replaced.
I have since been looking at the Organelle too. It looks like its physical arrangement inspires a certain kind of music, much in the way the OP1 is said to.
But yeah, VCVrack is a lot cheaper.
I have immense GAS for an actual hardware Eurorack. But devices with tiny screens and lots of menu-diving have no appeal for me at all. I already did that back in the early 80s with the DX7. Never again.
ah, yeah, there’s that. It does look a little finicky.
I just don’t understand why they didn’t make it run on batteries. They made a small portable device but you can’t take it anywhere.
@Dawdles thanks for the tip. The organelle is under my radar.
@Dawdles it seems endlessly expandable and weird in a good way
