OK, but actually popyourcorn only guessed one right, since I was the one that guessed Cube? I don't want to sound a sore loser but what's the point of guessing the first one right?
@richardyot - To win, you needed to name BOTH apps correctly. He did that, after Doug confirmed that Cube was one of the correct apps.

@richardyot I think you're right.... you were the first to get a correct guess, and everyone else was half way there because of that. Though I really would love to get a copy of this, if I somehow happen to win tomorrow's code, I'll give it to you.
I can understand the complaint from @richardyot, but there are Doug's rules...
Maybe a Salomonic solution would be, in case he has two gift codes, get one to the first that matches ONE app and the other who matches both.
Or don't give any hint, and wait for a longtime, since there are a lot of apps, and some tracks are very tricky.

OK, so we have a little competition where we are asked to guess which two synths are used in a sound clip.
In answer 11 I guess one of the synths correctly
Then, about 2 hours later, in answer 41 another forum member guesses the second of the two synths, having had more time and more clues.
Now (and nothing personal here), if that person had somehow done something more than I had, there would be no injustice, but in fact all they did was guess one of the two synths, same as I did.
Sorry, but the rules just don't make any sense, they are simply unfair to whoever makes the first correct guess.
So I would suggest that next time you just record one synth, and the first correct guess wins, that way you won't be in this weird situation where the first correct guess does not win.

OK so actually, have read the last section of this thread I can see the flaw in me telling everyone that one synth is correct. So the suggestion of no clues will apply to the next one. If it seems to be going on for too long I will think of some way to make it easier without giving away one of the apps.

You get three guesses, so you still have a chance to guess both even after you get one right...
Ok, Doug. I think this thread has gone too far.
I still remember when I won my code the challenge was match two apps and post the appstore link, and someone lost the last one.

There's many a radio-show competition doing similar with song snippets or vocal snippets. What they do is say when a snippet has been identified correctly but not which one. That seems fair to me and adds to the excitement. Just my 2 pennyworth
