Midi monitoring apps
I've tried several (Midi Monitor, Midi Wrench, MidiVision, etc.), but I get conflicting results. What are you guys using that you're happy with?

Heh, I bounce between those three. Don't love any of them.
Yeah...I'll have a sequencer running, with several monitoring, and get different channels, notes, and CCs. I can understand a difference with channels, since some dev's use 0-15 and others use 1-16, but I'll see one app saying it's receiving on 14 while the other is receiving on 3....wtf?? It seems this may be another void in need of the right Dev to tackle.
Yes, please. With easy to select ports, easy to set (and see) message filtering, and clearing.
I just got the iConnectMidi2+ for Christmas, so I'm going to try piping midi into my MBP and see if that would be a good interim solution.
Since no one else is responding, I'm wondering how others have been resolving midi issues. Of course, since the iOS tools aren't very reliable, I guess it's a moot point, but they're still useful to verify that there is some midi data coming through.

I think I've heard some dev on this board before saying that there's no universal MIDI protocol for iOS, which might explain the conflicting info from MIDI Monitoring Apps.
I thought the same at first @Calcutta, but monitoring apps should just be interpreting what comes in, regardless of whether there's strict adherence to any protocol. I think that the community, armed with the right tools, might be able to help unscramble this mess that is midi.
I reckon there just isn't a lot of money to be made in MIDI monitoring tools. I want a good one but, if I'm being honest, I don't particularly want to spend 10 bucks on one.

MIDI Toolbox seems to work. I also use it for nanoThings Sysex dump/load.

I'm guessing (because I've done it myself in different systems) many if not all of the tools that are available were written by devs trying to get something else to work, then made a product out of their tool.
I haven't seen that one. Thanks @dwarman...I was assuming you would jump in on this one ;-) How well does the SMF player work?

MidiFire is great for this too, among many other things. If you are hardcore, check out its midi scripting abilities. If not into all that, it is still very easy to use for many things.
Just checked out MidiCheck. It looks really good. Channel filtering added recently, so not just a monitor anymore.
