  • Nice to see you still giving this app some TLC. I already have it but appreciate the offer. Top class.

    Hurry peeps!

  • Many many thanks. Gonna check this out <3 o:)

  • Thank you so much, this is going to be fun.

  • Excellent news and very generous (though I already have it :) ). Here’s a quirky, individual synth that churns out some pretty unique sounds with nice evolution possibilities!

All 10 codes are gone yet there’s like only a few thanking the developer ? What’s wrong with people round here

Poor show from all you take and not say thank

    Looks interesting!

  • I don’t use it due to not being AU, but it’s a really fun and capable synth :) Hope you peeps who got it have fun with it B)

I also posted these links in a lofi-house production group on Facebook, but I didn't think they would go that quickly! Regardless thanks for all the kind words about the synth, trying to improve it whenever I can!

This is something I'm looking into but it seems like I will have to make some drastic UI changes in order to make it work. I would like to see it happen though!

  • Mea culpa. I was one of the successful downloaders. I NEVER win these things, and was literally tying my shoes to head out for the evening when I saw the offer. Miraculously, I grabbed it and was successful! I opened it up and it's wonderfully crowded, and after two minutes of haphazard button-poking — while being hollered at from an open door that I was making everybody late! — I put it away and haven't logged on again till just now.

    So thank you, @billjobs_in_space

I'll delve in when I can!

I haven't had too much time to spend on making tutorials, but maybe you could get a few hints from my YouTube channel:

And of course, if you have any questions feel free to reach out directly!

This is a great video, not least because you have that Steven Wright deadpan affect.

If it would be easier to make a brand spanking new version as an AU from the off, I know I would gladly pay for it again. In some senses it makes more sense to take a slightly different slant on the basic idea you have and get money for a new app. This app has been out an age now ( in iOS app terms), so it might be time to look at getting that fresh run of sales to help put some coffers in the development fund ;)

I agree, the code base for synthQ is pretty old at this point and really needs a revamp. I have a feeling if I go the AU route, synthQ will continue exist as a "legacy" version but there will be a new app that borrows a lot of the main ideas. I have already started the groundwork for an AU app that will run on iOS/OS X, and I'd like to take this base and create specific synths from it (such as an acid bass TB-303 type thing, FM synth, modular, etc.). I believe that this app and the ideas within it still have a lot of potential, so I'm looking into ways to turn it into something I can do full-time.

Hahah thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it ;)

  • This app has the best onscreen keyboard of any iOS app. I’m amazed no one else hasn’t borrowed this layout. Having so many octaves at hand, as well as the modulation options provides so many avenues for creativity. Love it.

Makes sense. I’ve had my money worth from the app even if I don’t use it now. You have some great ideas and it would be a shame not to see other product using these ideas and many more. Good luck for the future :)

I thought I saw something pop up on my Twitter timeline of something similar, but you're right— I need to re-use this for the reboot/spinoff projects for sure. Thank you for your kind words!
